Arcadia College is a co-educational secondary school offering a safe, inclusive and future-focused educational and well-being program.

Arcadia College is an independent co-ed secondary school offering an alternative approach to education for young people who have disengaged from mainstream schooling. As a special assistance school, we cater for a diverse range of students’ learning, emotional, psychological and physical needs, in order to give our students the best opportunity to build their future pathways and lives. Arcadia College tailors its educational programs to promote continuous engagement, meet individual student learning needs and interests, focuses heavily on student well-being, whilst exposing students to the essential Literacy, Numeracy, Life Skills required in today’s society. Arcadia College uses a variety of strategies, including Project-Based Learning, heavy focus on the Arts, Adventure-Based Learning and life-skills programs as a means to promote continuous engagement and learning. The College offers a suite of programs that expose students to enriched learning experiences, indicative of societal expectations, curriculum imperatives and the complex demands of 21st-century life.

🎉 THAT’S A WRAP ON TERM 3! 🎉

What a term it’s been! We’ve watched our students step outside their comfort zones, back themselves, celebrate wins (big and small!) and keep moving forward — and we couldn’t be prouder of the progress made along the way.

A huge shoutout to our students for continuing to show up, give things a go and support one another, and to our incredible staff and families who make it all possible.

📅 A quick reminder: Monday 5th October is King’s Birthday public holiday, so Term 4 kicks off on Tuesday 6th October.

🚀 3… 2… 1… BLAST OFF!

Our Year 8 scientists took their learning to new heights during Week 8, putting their bottle rocket designs to the ultimate test! 💥

As part of their Science assessment, students explored energy transformations and investigated how to improve the energy efficiency of their rockets. With plenty of creativity, problem-solving and a little trial and error, we saw some seriously impressive launches!

From the classroom to the launch pad, it was fantastic to see our young people putting their scientific knowledge into action.

It’s been a big few months of learning, progress and achievements, and we’re so proud of everything our students have accomplished along the way. 💛

🌭☀️ Good weather, good vibes and plenty of snags!

Last Saturday, our team fired up the BBQ at Bunnings Robina to raise funds for our 2026 Year 12 Formal — and what a great day it was! 🙌

A huge thank you to all the helping hands who gave up their time to cook, serve, organise and keep things running throughout the day. We’re also incredibly grateful to Bunnings Robina for having us and supporting our fundraising efforts.

🎉 And a big congratulations to the lucky winner of our Father’s Day Raffle! Thank you to everyone who purchased a ticket and got behind another great fundraiser for our Year 12s.

Every snag sold, raffle ticket purchased and helping hand made a difference. Thank you to everyone who stopped by and supported us! 🌭💛🎓

💛 R U OK? Day 💛

Sometimes the most important conversations start with three simple words: “Are you OK?”

R U OK? Day is a reminder to check in with our friends, classmates, family and the people around us — whether we see them every day, connect online, or haven’t heard from them in a little while.

💬 Not sure how to start? Try this:
👉 Ask – “Hey, you haven’t seemed yourself lately. Are you OK?”
👂 Listen – Give them your full attention and let them talk without judgement.
🤝 Encourage action – Help them think about someone they trust who they could speak with.
🔄 Check in – Send them a message or have another chat a few days later.

Checking in doesn’t need to be awkward or complicated. It could be a chat at lunch, a quick message, a phone call or simply making time to really listen.

At Arcadia College, connection and looking out for one another are an important part of our community. We encourage our students, staff and families to keep the conversation going — not just today, but any day. 💛

🌟 What an incredible achievement for Abbi! 🇦🇺

We are so proud to celebrate Year 12 Distance Education student, Abbi, who recently had the amazing opportunity to represent her local electorate at the first-ever National Youth Parliament 2026 in Canberra!

Abbi embraced every part of this incredible experience — debating real bills at Old Parliament House, watching Question Time live, touring Parliament House, meeting the Speaker of the House and Governor-General, and connecting with sitting Members of Parliament.

A particularly special moment was meeting Emma Comer MP, the Member for Abbi’s local electorate, who was so impressed by Abbi that she featured her on her own social media!

This milestone means so much more than it may seem at first glance. As a Distance Education school, we understand the courage it can take for our students to step outside their comfort zones, meet new people and embrace new experiences — let alone travel interstate independently!

👏 A huge congratulations to Abbi, we couldn’t be prouder! What an amazing experience and achievement to take with you as you approach the end of Year 12. 💫
