๐Ÿ“ฃ๐Ÿ™…๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธ Bullying No Way Week: 17-21 August 2026

This week, weโ€™re proud to stand together for Bullying No Way Week and our commitment to creating a school community where everyone feels safe, supported and that they belong.

โค๏ธ On Wednesday 19th August, students are encouraged to wear RED to show their support and help raise awareness. Weโ€™ll also have an awareness table where students can contribute to a collaborative art piece, using ribbons and pegs to write messages of kindness, support and encouragement. These messages will be brought together and displayed around the school. โค๏ธ

We believe that small acts of kindness can have a big impact. A smile, an encouraging word, including someone who may be feeling left out, or simply checking in can make a difference. Letโ€™s come together to choose kindness, show respect and remind each other that bullying has no place here. ๐Ÿ’™

What small act could you take this week to support someone?

Supporting our girls to know they are enough ๐Ÿ’›

Anxiety, perfectionism and the pressures of social media can have a real impact on how girls see themselves and their place in the world.

Supporting our girls to know they are enough ๐Ÿ’œ

Growing up in todayโ€™s digital world brings new pressures for girls โ€” from social media and comparison to anxiety, perfectionism and the feeling that they need to measure up.

Arcadia College parents and carers are invited to join Dr Justin Coulson for 'Girls: Trading Anxiety & Perfectionism for Authentic Growth.'

This practical session will explore how we can support the girls in our care to build confidence, resilience and a strong sense of self, without the pressure to be perfect.

๐Ÿ’œ Symphony of Stories: The People Who Shape Us ๐Ÿ’œ

On Thursday, the Arcadia Year 9 team hosted 'Symphony of Stories: The People Who Shape Us' on campus, welcoming 25 significant adults to join their young people for the morning โ˜บ๏ธ

Students and their guests took part in 'How Well Do We Know Each Other?' games, shared meaningful letters explaining why they had chosen their significant adult, and participated in an interview together.

The interviews formed part of the studentsโ€™ English Oral Histories assessment task, providing a great opportunity for students and their significant adults to connect, share stories and learn more about each other. ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ“š

Today we celebrate National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Childrenโ€™s Day. โค๏ธ๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’™

At Arcadia College, weโ€™re proud to come together to recognise and celebrate the rich cultures, histories and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

This yearโ€™s theme, โ€œLiving Our Truth,โ€ encourages us to honour identity, culture and the voices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people.

Students are invited to join us during Junior and Senior first breaks at our Cultural Marquee, where our Indigenous Liaison Coordinator, Letitia Smith, will be hosting a range of engaging cultural activities. Thereโ€™ll be music, games, face painting, treats and opportunities to learn, connect and celebrate together.

We look forward to sharing this special day with our school community.
