Hi Robe SLSC Members,
Beachport Surf Life Saving Club will be hosting FREE hub Member Thank You First Aid courses locally in Beachport over the school holidays. The details are confirmed as:
Date: Thursday 8th October OR Friday 9th of October
Time: 9am start
Venue: Beachport Lions Shed
Valued at $170 this course is provided free by SLSSSA to financial members as a thank you for contributing through the Algal Bloom.
Places are filling fast so book your spot at Member Thank you First Aid — Surf Life Saving SA, comment below to ask us for the code to receive the course for free. On the weekend the course will be opened up and advertised to the wider community so be sure to not leave your booking to the last minute to avoid missing out.
If anyone is interested in training in the Bronze Medallion or ART award this season (including those that already hold the SRC award) this course will be a requirement if you do not hold a current HLTAID011. More details of any courses being held in Beachport will be shared later.
*Please note that First Aid qualifications only need to be updated every three years and more courses will be offered locally over the next three years but it is advisable for anyone whose qualifications expire this season to update now.

The Robe Surf Life Saving Club welcomes the updated proposal for a club facility the Long Beach Reserve.

A dedicated facility would provide an important base for our volunteers, members and lifesaving activities, helping us continue to support the safety and wellbeing of our local community and visitors to Robe.

We encourage our members and the wider community to take a few minutes to complete the Council survey and have their say. The survey closes 30 September 2026.

Council is seeking feedback about a proposed new Surf Life Saving Club facility at Long Beach Reserve.

Another fantastic Nippers season done at Robe SLSC!

Thank you so much to all of our wonderful volunteers who make Nippers possible, we couldn’t do it without you.

We hope to have a few new helpers join our committee and volunteer next season in order to keep our Nippers program running. Please reach out if you can help!

If you are interested in taking volunteering a step further, we can hook you up with SRC or Bronze Medallion trainkng too. Just let us know!

Reminder that our annual ‘Fun-i-val’ will be on in Beachport tomorrow, meaning Nippers will not be held at Longbeach as normal.
Start time at Surf Beach in Beachport will be 10am, so please ensure you are there early - any time after 9.30 works.
Remember to bring your pink vests, drink bottle and a towel!

Our first Nippers session starts this coming Sunday, 11th January. Due to a reduced number of trained and available age managers this year, numbers will be capped in each age group - it will simply be a matter of first in, first served. Ensure your registrations are completed ASAP to secure a spot.

Please note that REGISTRATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED ON NIPPER DAYS. These must be done prior to commencement of a child's first session. Any assistance required will be provided on weekdays in readiness for the following Sunday. We ask that this request be respected due to the extra pressure and stress it creates at the desk on Nipper mornings.
