Community Fun Day – This Friday Morning!

A friendly reminder to all of our families and community members that our Community Fun Day is happening this Friday morning!

We’re looking forward to a wonderful morning of fun, connection and community spirit at Hannans Road Public School.

With Father’s Day just around the corner, we’ll also have a special gift dads, grandfathers and other important father figures to enjoy as part of the morning.

We’d love to see as many of our families and community members there as possible. Come along, join in the fun and help us celebrate the wonderful community that makes Hannans Road so special!

A huge congratulations to our Hannans Road students who proudly represented our school at the District Athletics Carnival at The Ridge Athletics Track on Monday!

We are incredibly proud of the effort, determination and sportsmanship shown by all of our students throughout the day. Their excellent behaviour and the way they represented Hannans Road Public School was outstanding.

Well done to all of our athletes on a fantastic achievement!

Hannans Road Public School Open Day 2026

What a fantastic day we had yesterday celebrating Open Day at Hannans Road Public School!

It was wonderful to welcome so many of our parents, carers and family members into the school to visit our open classrooms and enjoy the fantastic performances from our students. Thank you to everyone who was able to join us and share in such a special day.

And of course, we can’t forget the incredible costumes! Our students looked outstanding, and it was great to see so many of our staff getting into the spirit of the day as well. There was certainly no shortage of colour, creativity and enthusiasm around the school!

We are incredibly proud of our students and grateful to our amazing staff for all the work that went into making the day such a success.

Join us at Hannans Road Public School on Thursday, 6 August as we celebrate Education Week and showcase the wonderful learning taking place across our school.
The morning will include:
📖 Book Character Parade (9:45am)
🏫 Classroom visits
☕ Parent Morning Tea
📚 Book Fair
🎶 Student performances featuring our choir, senior dance group and 4/5R drummers
Come along and see our classrooms in action, celebrate our students' achievements and experience firsthand the incredible learning happening every day at HRPS.

HRPS Athletics Carnival 2026
What a fantastic day we had at our 2026 Hannans Road Public School Athletics Carnival last Friday!
Our students demonstrated incredible determination, resilience and sportsmanship throughout the day. Whether they were competing for a ribbon, cheering on their classmates or simply giving every event their best effort, they represented our school with pride.
A huge thank you to Miss Soondur and our amazing staff, whose hard work and organisation ensured the day ran so smoothly. We would also like to thank our parents, carers and supporters, whose enthusiasm and encouragement helped make the day so special for everyone involved.

3/4Y and 4/5R had an amazing day at La Perouse, learning about its history, the national park and its habitats. The excursion supported Geography, History and Science as students explored local environments, Aboriginal histories and cultures, and how people care for places. Students built environments for native animals, searched for bugs and visited the museum.
