🐇Golden Ridge Farm Visit🐥

We had a wonderful visit from Golden Ridge Farm at Sherridon Learning Blocks, who brought some lovely farm animals to us! The children absolutely loved cuddling the chicks and ducks, patting the fluffy rabbits, and feeding the gentle lambs. It was a fun, hands-on experience filled with lots of smiles, excitement and special memories.

🚀 Blast off into Space Week! 🌙✨

Our little astronauts launched into a galaxy of discovery as they built rockets, designed their own astronaut helmets, explored constellations and created imaginative galaxies filled with stars and planets.

Through stories, creative art and hands-on play, the children asked questions, shared ideas and discovered more about the incredible universe around us. These experiences supported their creativity, communication, problem-solving and scientific thinking—all while having an out-of-this-world adventure!

The sky is never the limit when little minds are encouraged to dream big! 🌟🪐

🦷✨ Healthy Smiles at Riverstone! ✨🪥

Today we were joined by the wonderful team from Gables Children’s Dentistry for a fun and interactive visit all about looking after our teeth! 😁

Our friends learnt about what a dentist is and what they do, with some even getting the chance to dress up as dentists themselves! 👩‍⚕️🦷

Then it was time to put our thinking caps on! 🧠 We explored different foods and sorted them based on which choices help keep our teeth happy and healthy. 🍎🥕🍭

Finally, we put our new dental hygiene skills to the test! Our children practised:

🪥 Brushing “marks” away from our pretend teeth
🦷 Flossing playdough from between ice-cube tray “teeth”
😁 Learning how brushing and flossing help keep our mouths clean and healthy

A huge thank you to the team at Gables Children’s Dentistry for spending time with us and helping educate our Riverstone children about the importance of caring for their teeth. 💛

We loved learning through play, hands-on experiences and LOTS of big smiles! 🦷✨

🫧✨ BUBBLE-TASTIC FUN ✨🫧

Today our children had an amazing visit from Professor Pop’s Bubble Lab, bringing a morning full of bubbles, science, discovery and LOTS of excitement! 🔬🌈

Our littlest learners enjoyed a magical bubble show, watching bubbles of all different shapes and sizes float, bounce and pop around them. Meanwhile, our older children became little scientists, getting hands-on with exciting bubble experiments and exploring the science behind how bubbles are made! 🧪🫧

And the highlight? Our children even got to STEP INSIDE A GIANT BUBBLE! 🤩🫧

We love providing our children with fun, hands-on experiences that spark curiosity, wonder and a love of learning through play. 💗

What a bubbly day to remember at Learning Blocks Riverstone! 🫧✨

✨ Celebrating Science Week! 🔬

At Learning Blocks Sherridon Crescent, the children celebrated Science Week through exciting hands-on experiences! They explored the magic of mixing colours, observed and tested chemical reactions, and challenged their thinking by defying gravity through balancing experiments.

These engaging experiences encouraged the children to be curious, ask questions, make predictions, test their ideas and discover how things work. Most importantly, they had lots of fun learning through exploration, experimentation and play! 🧪🎨
