As part of our ‘Symphony of Stories’ Book Week, students enjoyed visits from Australian authors Ashleigh Barton and Jack Heath.

Both authors inspired students to imagine boldly, collaborate creatively and flourish as confident storytellers.

From our youngest learners to our emerging writers in Years 5–8, their sessions brought curiosity, joy and purpose to our learning community.

Thank you, Ashleigh and Jack, for your time and for sharing with our students.

Our Year 11 and 12 Enterprise Computing and Software Engineering students went on an exciting excursion to the Amazon Kemps Creek (BWU2) fulfilment centre.

Students were given an incredible behind‑the‑scenes tour of one of the world’s most advanced logistics hubs. They explored real‑world robotics, data science, and advanced data visualisation, seeing classroom concepts come to life in a dynamic and engaging environment.

Watching automated systems and complex software operating at scale offered a fascinating insight into future employment opportunities, potential career pathways, and valuable preparation for their HSC studies.

A huge thank you to Amazon for inspiring our future innovators.

Girls from Years 5 - 8 attended an inspiring visit from author Cecily Patterson, who spoke with warmth and wisdom about main character energy, encouraging students to grow in their learning and understanding the power of a pen.

Over high tea, girls enjoyed thoughtful conversation and the kind of community moments that help them become courageous young women.

A special thank you to our wonderful Year 9 and 10 students who served food with excellence and joy, a beautiful example of leadership in action.

Our Year 6 students from Ngarra and Norwest enjoyed a special visit from Michelle Rowland, Australia’s Attorney‑General and Federal Member for Greenway.

In an interactive session, Michelle shared insights into Parliament, encouraged curiosity, and created space for students to ask thoughtful questions.

Her visit built on students’ time spent in Canberra earlier this year as they explored how Australian Parliament works.

Thank you, Michelle, for coming and visiting our students.

Science Week was a wonderful opportunity for our students to flourish as learners under this year’s theme, “Seeds of Science: nurturing knowledge for all.”

Secondary students from Years 8 - 10 partnered with Primary classes, leading practical workshops that explored seeds, germination and sprouting.

With strengthened activities across groups, students demonstrated thoughtful scientific thinking and shared their curiosity as they guided younger learners.

Thank you to our Secondary students for the preparation, enthusiasm and care they brought to this experience.

Students in Year 4 had the opportunity to immerse themselves in learning at the Australian Museum.

As part of their Science unit on adaptations, students explored the internal and external features that help animals survive in their environments.

Through engaging exhibits and hands-on learning experiences, they discovered how these adaptations support the survival of different species and made connections to how our own bodies help keep us healthy and safe.

Now, they are bringing their learning back to the classroom to further investigate how specific features help both animals and humans thrive.

Well done, Year 4!

Our Year 1-4 students had the exciting opportunity to learn from award-winning author Nat Amoore as she shared the creative journey behind her stories and how her ideas come to life.

Through hands‑on activities, she encouraged our young learners to grow in creativity, confidence, and curiosity, even inviting them to dress up as characters from her book Showerland!

We love seeing our students flourish as they explore new ideas and express their imagination within our College.
