R U OK? DAY

South Creek School will recognise R U OK? Day on Thursday, 10 September 2026. This nationwide initiative encourages meaningful conversations, kindness and connection within our community.

Students are encouraged to wear a yellow shirt on the day. Yellow symbolises positivity and hope and helps raise awareness of the importance of checking in with one another.

Throughout the day, students will participate in activities that promote kindness, sharing and taking turns with their peers. We also encourage families to have conversations about wellbeing at home and within the wider community. A simple “Are you OK?” can make a big difference in someone’s day.

🌟 Celebrating Our Amazing SASS Staff! 🌟

This SASS Week, we want to take a moment to recognise and celebrate the incredible people who help make our school the welcoming, supportive and inclusive place it is. 💙

Our SASS staff work tirelessly behind the scenes and alongside our students and teachers every day. From supporting students in the classroom, keeping our school running smoothly, caring for our grounds and facilities, to making sure everyone feels welcomed and supported.

You may not always see everything they do, but their impact is felt throughout our entire school community. They bring patience, kindness, dedication, humour and a willingness to go above and beyond each and every day.

To our SLSOs, office staff, general assistant and farm staff, thank you! We truly appreciate everything you do for our students, our staff and our school.

We simply couldn’t do it without you! 💙🌟
Happy SASS Week! 🎉

Class Activity Week 6 Term 3

This week in Mint Class, we have been learning about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures. We have been practising our Acknowledgement of Country and learning how to count to 10 in the Dharug language. We have also explored Aboriginal seasons and investigated the different bush foods collected throughout the year, such as bush tomatoes and lilly pillies.

Bullying NO WAY!

Today marks the beginning of Bullying No Way Week!

This year’s theme, “Small Acts, Big Impact,” reminds us that simple actions—such as showing kindness, including others and speaking up—can make a big difference.

Together, we can create a safe, respectful and inclusive school community where everyone belongs.
