Through VOICE and CHOICE a child can discover their wisdom leading them to their own purpose and direction.

We have a few spots available on Wednesdays for children aged 6 to 11-ish years old.

This term we are exploring tribes and civilisations and their cultures, weaving in military groups, music and hands-on art.

TERM 4 🌻🌳⛏🎤🎼

With a gentle approach to learning, following the children's interests, this term we will be exploring the theme of tribal groups and civilizations, infusing other topics such as military groups, music and lots of hands-on art mixed in.

Our afternoons are social and can be loud because we like to put our learning into play!

After the 5 weeks, Sarah will go on maternity leave and Taryn will continue at the same location, doing the same days. If you're after a full term booking I can put you in contact with Taryn! Taryn follows the same gentle learning practices and free flowing afternoon structure.

Currently Tuesdays are booked out with me, but Taryn has availability from week 6 onwards.

Are you interested in working with a group of homeschooling children who love the outdoors, sticks, building forts, skateboarding and have imaginations that blow your mind?

I will be heading off on maternity leave towards the end of the year and the group of children that I teach would like to stay together!

I am not looking to hire you, I am simply offering this opportunity to someone like-minded who loves kids, loves to educate through child led activities and interests and has a focus on free imaginative play to foster child development. 🤸

Reposting because it's true.

Children are naturally inquisitive and traditional education has squashed that inquisitiveness.

Starting out in the mainstream classroom, I was told that children need stimulation and provocations to learn. But every day I see them finding their own provocations and their own stimulations, depending on what their eyes see, what their ears hear, what their bodies draw them to.

Human children are more intelligent that most give them credit.

We choose not to experience the world as some people say we should.

Instead we choose our own path, we take what we need, leave what we don't and know that we are living and learning every single day.

Homeschool group learning gives us the chance to make those choices. It's the children in my care that decide how learning looks and what form it takes along the way.

I am but their guide, a support to steer them only when they need direction, never if they have taken off all by themselves!
