💛Walking Together for Lifeline💛

This World Su***de Prevention Day, our educators are coming together to take part in a special walk to support Lifeline Australia and the important work they do for people experiencing a difficult time.

We are so excited to be given the opportunity to take part in this walk with a local business Love It Landscaping Design & Maintenance on September 10th at 2pm. We are coming together as a community to start our walk at the BallCourt hotel Sunbury with Troy and his team, local community members & a team of our own. After the walk will be activities, raffle prizes & some food at the BallCourt. All of our families & community are welcome to join, the bigger the better for a cause that so many are touched by.

If you would like to support our educators and contribute to this important cause, we would be incredibly grateful. Together, we can help raise awareness, show compassion and remind people that they are not alone.💛

🔬🔭 Science Week 🤓🌋
This week we have experimented and explored, erupted and dyed. From our kinder children making slime, rain clouds, rainbows, and sinking/floating toys, to our toddlers erupting a volcano, making volcano art, and making rainbow volcano lemons, all our children have enjoyed many activities learning about the wonderful and weird ways our world exists around us!

📚✨ Book Week is almost here! ✨📚

Today we had a very special guest from Romsey Library visit us at Goodstart Early Learning Riddells Creek to help us get excited for Book Week, which officially starts next week! 📖🌟

The children loved spending time together, listening to stories and sharing in the magic of books. It was a wonderful way to begin celebrating the joy of reading, imagination and storytelling.

A big thank you to Romsey Library for taking the time to visit us today. We loved having you! 💛📚

🚨🧸 Safety First at Goodstart Riddells Creek! 🧸🚨

Recently at Goodstart Riddells Creek, we have been putting our emergency preparedness into practice with offsite evacuation drills — and because it was PJ Week, we did it all in our pyjamas! 💤👟😄

Offsite evacuation drills are an important part of keeping our children and educators safe. They help our team practice what to do in an emergency, ensure everyone knows where to go, and support children to become familiar with evacuation procedures in a calm and safe way. 🧡

Our educators worked together to safely move the children to our designated offsite location, making sure everyone was accounted for along the way. Practising regularly helps us feel confident and prepared should we ever need to respond to a real emergency.

And let's be honest… evacuating in our pyjamas made for some very cute little emergency responders! 😂🩷🧸

A big well done to our children and educators for taking part so calmly and confidently. Safety is always our priority! ❤️

How lucky are we at Goodstart Riddells Creek to have such wonderful families in our community! 🚑💙

We were so grateful to welcome a very special family of paramedics, Michael and Jess, who visited our centre to give the children an exciting and hands-on incursion all about paramedics and the amazing work they do. 👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️🚑

The children loved learning about what paramedics do, exploring the ambulance and, of course, getting the chance to sit inside and have a look around! They also enjoyed taking home some fun activities to continue their learning. 🩺✨

The ambulance siren was definitely a little louder than expected for some little ears! 😂🔊

A huge thank you to Michael and Jess for taking the time to visit us, share your knowledge and give the children such a memorable experience. We feel so lucky to have families who generously share their time and professions with our community. ❤️

We're so excited to be the Junior Game Day Sponsor for the Riddells Creek Football Netball Club! ❤️🖤

At Goodstart Riddells Creek, we're passionate about supporting our local community and celebrating the incredible young people who make our town so special. We can't wait to cheer on all the junior footballers and netballers as they take to the field and courts next weekend Saturday the 8th of August!

🚓👮 Community connections are an important part of learning at Goodstart Riddells Creek!

We were excited to welcome our local police officer, Ryan, to the centre for a special visit on Wednesday. Ryan spent time with the children teaching them about the important role police officers play in our community, how they help keep us safe, and what to do if they ever need assistance.

The highlight of the visit was exploring the police car! The children enjoyed a guided tour, seeing the equipment inside, watching the flashing lights and hearing the sirens, before taking turns sitting in the driver's seat and pretending to be police officers themselves. 🚔✨

Experiences like these help children build confidence, develop a sense of belonging within their community, and learn about the people who are here to help and support them.

A big thank you to Officer Ryan for taking the time to visit and create such a memorable learning experience for our children. We loved having you at Goodstart Riddells Creek! 💙
