Please note that the Department of Education and Communities has this advice for teachers 'Friending' parents on Facebook:
The line between your professional and personal life could become blurred making it difficult to manage your professional relationship with the parents when that becomes necessary. You also need to bear in mind that becoming a Facebook friend with a parent could result in their children getting access to your account as well. You also need to be mindful that you need to be careful what you say on Facebook if you have parents as friends as comments made online can be misunderstood and could result in parental complaints made to your principal. In short, please do not ask to friend a member of staff on Facebook as refusal often offends.

Koby and Willow (Year 11) are in the final weeks of their Certificate II in Animal Care at Taronga Zoo Sydney. We spoke to Taronga Trainer, Marina, to see what makes the course so rewarding and caught up with fellow student, Ava from Newtown High School of Performing Arts.
The amazing opportunity has formed new skills, deep connections and high ambitions for everyone involved. Well done Koby and Willow, and good luck with the next stage of your Animal Care journey!

It's Science Week, so naturally we look back to 2014 for the ever-popular Science Faculty Photo. This time the crew became surgeons, performing 'life-saving' procedures on a very (un)lucky subject!

It's already been a busy week for our Year 8 students!

Tuesday, the cohort participated in a Wellbeing Day, facilitated by the Creating Chances team. The day focused on high-impact activities to help build confidence and positive relationships.

Wednesday then marked the beginning of their Subject Selection process, with subject info sessions running in small groups. The sessions gave our cohort a chance to explore what's on offer in Stage 5, helping to make their final decisions by the end of the week.
Good luck with your selections Year 8!

Well done to our U15s Netball Team, who made the Top 16 in their Knockout Comp. After some exciting games, they we're ultimately beaten by a strong team from Model Farms High School (NSW).

Mrs Smith has worked hard coaching these girls, writing some inspiring words about the team: "They have demonstrated outstanding teamwork and determination, consistently attending lunch time training sessions, honing their skills, and most importantly supporting each other with encouragement and advice. It has been a pleasure to coach this team."
