Digital Dolphins - Storytelling in the digital world The Digital Dolphins method is a series of specialised learning modules with a tutor driven peer learning approach to coach impactful storytelling.

As successful Television Executive and Educational Visionary Bettina produced more than 500 hours of TV, set up the TV Akademie in Berlin, and lectured the subjects of Media creation and Film production at Swinburne University and the Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne to more than 1000 students. After witnessing the divided vibrant city of Berlin growing together for 20 years, Bettina cha

nged her home turf to Melbourne and is now designing Curriculum for Higher Education in Australia. The international renown "Playdate Workshop - Technophobia in Academia" and the Government funded “Digital Competency Starter Kit” opened doors to engagements around the world. An expert in her field and driven by the credo that everybody is a storyteller, able to learn how to navigate with creative digital tools, Bettina embarked to lead the Pod of Digital Dolphins to mastery in digital storytelling. In these interactive and playfull courses, the participants will learn how to best connect with your audience, how to start a story, and where to end, and which digital tool is the most effective for you to make the impact you want. What can a knock at the door teach you about storytelling?

When we began adapting an Australian television series for Germany, small cultural details created distance between the story and its audience.
Once we could shape the stories around the world of our German viewers, the daily audience grew from approximately 600,000 to six million.

Look, what, what did I do? Where am I coming from? Um, way
back in the last millennium, I studied, um, theater and communication science at uni in
Munich. and was about to become a theater director, but then I had to go for moving
images. So I went to New York Film School and then I started to work for a broadcaster.
And ever since, I produced more than 500 and I think 550 hours of German TV.

That decision took me from studying theatre and communication science in Munich to film school in New York—and eventually into television, where I produced more than 550 hours of German TV.
Along the way, I learned that powerful stories don’t happen by accident. They are shaped to make people care, connect and keep watching.
