Japan Tour a Success!
Twelve Year 10 and 11 students enjoyed an unforgettable Japan Tour last month, filled with cultural experiences, new friendships and plenty of adventure!
The first week was spent at our sister school, Ibaraki Christian Junior High School, where students were warmly welcomed by staff, students and host families. They threw themselves into classes and cultural activities, embracing Japanese daily life and reconnecting with past exchange students while making new friends along the way.
This year was extra special, with Principal Mr Corr joining the tour and helping strengthen the wonderful connection between our two schools.
The group then headed to Tokyo, exploring famous cultural and historical sites, including beautiful Kamakura, and experiencing both traditional and modern Japan.
A few minor earthquakes and a passing typhoon added an unexpected twist, but our students took it all in their stride! Their curiosity, resilience, kindness and positive attitude were highlights of the trip.
It was a fantastic opportunity for cultural learning, personal growth and international friendship – and a pleasure to travel with such an enthusiastic and adaptable group.
