🏡🇯🇵 Homestay Hosts Required in Newcastle Urgently for Japanese Students 🏡🇯🇵

Oz Homestay is inviting individuals, couples, and families in the Newcastle region to host a group of Japanese high school female students for 14 weeks (mid‑July to mid‑October).

If you have a spare room and an interest in cultural exchange, hosting is a rewarding way to support a young person while sharing everyday Australian life.

✨ About the Program
• Students begin with 1 week of English studies at TAFE Newcastle
• They then attend local high schools and live with approved homestay hosts:
– Cardiff High School
– Newcastle High School
– Callaghan College Wallsend Campus
– Lambton High School

🏠 What Does Hosting Involve?
Homestay is more than providing a room — it’s welcoming a student as part of your household. Everyday family life, shared meals, conversation, and guidance all help students feel safe and supported as they settle into school and the community.
Hosts may be individuals, couples, or families.

❤️ Why Host?
• A meaningful cultural exchange that often leads to lifelong friendships
• The chance to positively impact a young person’s life
• Financial remuneration to help cover day‑to‑day costs
• A fulfilling experience that’s about care, inclusion, and support — not just renting a room

✅ Host Responsibilities Include:
• Providing a fully furnished bedroom (study desk & reading lamp included)
• Providing meals
• Providing bed linen and towels
• Attending school enrolment and parent‑teacher interviews (as needed)
• Helping students learn public transport (if required)

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
