The AMEB results just came in 📩 and we couldn't be prouder.

Grade 2 — Pass with Honours ⭐

Here's the part we love most: this little pianist prepared AND sat the exam in the very room she practises in every week. Same piano, same teacher nearby, zero scary-new-exam-room nerves. That's what being an official AMEB exam venue means for our students.

3 small things that make piano practice at home actually work 🎹
Getting kids to practise doesn't have to be a battle. Here's what we tell our Rhodes families:
1️⃣ Short & often beats long & rare — 10 focused minutes a day does more than one big weekend session.
2️⃣ Same time, same spot — right after school or before dinner, so practice becomes a habit, not a nightly negotiation.
3️⃣ End on a win — finish with a piece they already love and can play well, so they walk away proud and want to come back tomorrow.
Consistency beats marathon sessions every time. Little and often is where the real progress hides. 💛

The truth: there's no single magic number — it's about readiness, not age. For our youngest (3–5), our Interactive Group Piano introduces music through games and play, so little ones build rhythm and confidence before formal lessons. From there, kids step up to one-on-one when they're ready.
