On Friday August 28, three RHS bands make the trek over to Penola Catholic College for their annual Battle of the Bands event. Whilst all bands performed to the highest standard, our Senior band, 'Red Road Sign' won the Senior category and overall battle!

Congratulations to Year 11 and 12 students, Yrel Guzman, Bixie Wilford, Haley HA, Yicheng Chen, Zeak Lyon and Danica Fuentes.

Aiden Jakupi (Year 😎 also took out an Encouragement Award.

Friday 28th August is Wear It Purple Day, a worldwide movement established to promote empowerment, support, and inclusion of LGBTQIA+ young people. To celebrate and raise awareness for this worthy cause, staff and students are encouraged to wear purple. Students are able to wear a small purple item additional to their school uniform, such as a hair ribbon, scarf or pin.

Wear It Purple Day is about creating an environment of inclusion and support and at Reservoir High School every individual is accepted for who they are.

Today, we celebrate our incredible Principal Team – Katie Watmough, Jodie Purches, and Lea Volpe – and recognise the dedication, leadership, and care they bring to our school every single day. Their commitment to our students, staff, and wider school community creates a positive and supportive environment where everyone can thrive.
A special thank you goes to Lea Volpe as she begins her well-earned retirement. After 15 years as our Assistant Principal, Lea has made a lasting impact through her wisdom, kindness, and unwavering dedication. She has supported countless students, families, and colleagues, and her contribution to our school will be remembered for many years to come.
Lea, thank you for everything you have given to our school community. We wish you every happiness, good health, and many wonderful adventures in your retirement.
To Katie, Jodie, and Lea—thank you for your outstanding leadership, your passion, and the difference you make every day. We are truly grateful for all that you do.

Yesterday, as part of the SSL 2025 Community Learning Project, the Year 9 Advance class attended a tree planting session together with the Darebin Council. Over 100 trees were planted along the Darebin creek. They will be going again next week to plant some more.

Well done to Lily, Sonali, Prarthana, Cameron and Tyson for making an impact in our local community.
