We’re celebrating the first day of Spring with another week of our Prace College Café! ☕️

As part of our curriculum, students undertake Work Placement to develop valuable, real-world workplace skills.

Across both campuses, we provide simulated work environments once a week, giving students the opportunity to learn, practise and build confidence in a safe and supportive setting.

Students gain hands-on experience in customer service, cash handling, cooking, retail, gardening, barista skills and a range of other transferable skills!

Today, our Mernda students are at our Reservoir campus, doing a fantastic job at the café making coffees, taking orders and confidently serving Prace staff and students.

Great job, everyone! 👏

Prace College’s second annual Cultural Food Fair at the end of Term 2 brought Prace College students, Prace English As An Additional Language (EAL) students, and staff together to celebrate Refugee Week and the many cultures that make up our learning community.

From homemade dishes to reflective conversations, the event brought this year's Refugee Week theme, 'A Million Stories', to life.

Each meal shared was an opportunity to tell a story, celebrate culture, and recognise the diverse experiences, backgrounds and traditions that enrich life at Prace.

Prace staff will be coming together for Cancer Council Victoria's 'Biggest Morning Tea' on Friday 26 June, raising vital funds to support cancer research, prevention programs, advocacy, and support services for people impacted by cancer.

This event is being hosted by Prace College staff member Julia, and we are proud to support her as she hosts this impactful fundraiser for the second year running!

While the event itself is not open to the public, our wider community can still get involved by supporting Julia's fundraising efforts through a donation to her Cancer Council fundraising page: https://www.biggestmorningtea.com.au/fundraisers/prace

Every dollar raised helps Cancer Council continue its important work and brings us one step closer to a cancer-free future!

Thank you for helping us make a difference 🥳
