Shout out to students, friends and families of the dojo, today is Raining Spirit Dojo's 17th Birthday! (1st May 2009).

Thanks to everyone who has supported the dojo over the past 17 years. The students who started as 5 year old kids who are now young adults, some with kids of their own!.
The amazing friendships that have been formed over the years.
The adventures we have been on (and continue to do!), training trips to Japan and flying around Australia for seminar weekends.

I want to personally thank everyone who has been involved with Raining Spirit Dojo since its beginning, whether you are still an active member or not.
Thanks for bringing so much fun, laughter and adventure.

I'll bring cake to tonight's birthday class (6:30pm-7:30pm Bujinkan + 7:30pm-9pm Hoshinden).

RSDojo - Shodan Black Belt exam coming up FEB 21st -

Come and support one of our long-time students Narayan Ball as he takes his Shodan Black Belt exam on:
Saturday 21st February 2026
11am-2pm
@ Raining Spirit Dojo (Research Scout Hall)

The Black Belt exams at RSDojo are open to all to attend and watch as we celebrate the awesome long journey and hard work which Narayan has put into his training.

No need to RSVP, simply turn up on the day at 10:45am for an 11am start and remember to BYO water/drinks/snacks for yourself for the long 3 hour exam. ✌️

Hi all,
Despite the heat for VIC tomorrow (Friday 9th Jan) we will ride the weather expectation of the drop in temps for the evening and will push forward with running classes tomorrow evening.

Weather expectations show 12pm-5pm = 43*c,
6pm = 32*c
7pm = 27*c

Classes run:
Bujinkan 6:30-7:30pm
General Hoshinden 7:30-9pm
Advanced Hoshinden 9-10pm

Bring a good water bottle! (put ice in your water bottle before you come to class) and wear your Gi pants and training T-shirt (no need to bring a Gi top to class tomorrow night).

We'll have a slow and paced first day of classes for 2026. ✌️
