STUDENT SUCCESS 🌟
Sarsho E was one of only eight student representatives chosen from across South Australia - an outstanding achievement that included the opportunity to meet with the Governor.

Following their meeting with Her Excellency the HonourableFrances Adamson AC, Governor of South Australia, the students developed a communiqué outlining their ideas and recommendations. This was presented to the Governor and will then be forwarded to the Premier of South Australia, the Honourable Peter Malinauskas MP.

We thank Sarsho for his strong interest in politics and civics, and for his willingness to lead and represent the voices of young people across our state. Renmark High School is extremely proud of you, Sarsho!

ACTIVE CITIZENSHIP CONVENTION 🗣
Congratulations to ten Renmark High School students who were selected to travel to the Adelaide Oval for the Active Citizenship Convention 2026!

Our students actively engaged in workshops focused on decision-making and democracy, expressed their views on issues important to young people in Australia, and collaborated with students from across the state to workshop solutions to community challenges.

A special thank you to Mrs Elliott for organising and supporting our students’ involvement in this remarkable civics event. Renmark High School also extends its appreciation to everyone involved in making the day such a valuable and memorable experience for our students.

BOOK WEEK 2026✨📚
Our school was filled with colour and creativity yesterday as students and staff joined in the fun of Book Week!

Together, we embraced the "Symphonies of Stories" theme by dressing up as a fantastic variety of characters - from wizards and cartoon favourites, to classic nursery rhymes, and even the memorable, Where’s Wally. The creativity and enthusiasm on display truly highlighted our school's love of books and storytelling.

It was fantastic to see everyone’s energy and imagination come together for such a memorable celebration. Thank you to all who participated and made Book Week an event to remember!

Sessions will be hosted on nursing, from 6-7pm, allied health from 7-8pm and health and medicine, from 7:30-8:30pm. There will be a livestream of the allied health session.

Did you know RSSA now has a Flinders Partnership that includes the following opportunities?

Flinders Aligned: If you’re studying a VET certification as part of your SACE, you may already be on a clear pathway to Flinders University. You can connect this with two or three SACE subjects for your entrance into a range of selected Flinders courses.

RSSA Allied Health Pathways: Exclusive to RSSA students is a new partnership with Flinders University providing Flinders Extension Studies topics through RSSA Local Delivery. Successful completion supports SACE completion, ATAR, and attracts recognised prior learning (RPL) across a number of Flinders Bachelors in the College of Health and Enablement.

Extension Studies Program: Successfully complete two university topics through Extension Studies and you’ll be eligible for guaranteed entry into many Flinders degrees.

YEAR 6 TRANSITION 🌟
Yesterday, we welcomed Year 6 primary school students for their third transition day at Renmark High School.

Students enjoyed a variety of hands-on activities throughout the morning with crafting pencil pots in Wood Technology with Kelli, expressing their creativity in clay making with Mr Ward in visual art, playing dodgeball with Miss Coombe in the Mickan Gym, exploring the Greek language with Mrs Papametis, high energy French lessons with Mrs Sotiroulis (students arrived back to the library singing the crab song), and baking delicious scones with Mrs Cole (a crowd favourite!).
Before returning to primary school, all students gathered in the library, where Mrs Hooper invited them to share highlights from their day. The enthusiasm and excitement shown by the students reflected the success of the day.

These experiences give Year 6 students a sense of high school life, encouraging teamwork, creativity, and new friendships as they explore different subjects and spaces across our school.
Thank you to our staff and students for making this day such a positive and memorable experience.

PBL REWARDS 💫
Last Friday, our students celebrated a remarkable achievement by earning over 5,000 House Points throughout the term. These points were awarded by staff members to recognise students who consistently demonstrated our school values of Respect, Connect, and Achieve.

To mark this special milestone, students were treated to a sausage sizzle during recess. A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated SRC students, SSOs, and teachers who generously gave their time to prepare and serve food to our students.

This celebration is a wonderful reminder of the positive culture we are nurturing together at Renmark High School. Each House Point signifies a moment when a student has made a positive choice, supported their peers, shown respect, or worked hard to reach their goals.

We encourage all students to continue displaying our school values every day and thank our staff for recognising and rewarding positive behaviours.
