Flinders University Rural and Remote Health SA At Flinders University Rural and Remote Health South Australia, we partner with our communities

Flinders University Rural and Remote Health SA facilitates high quality multidisciplinary health education and research in our State's regional areas. We have a strong national and international reputation for providing community-engaged inter-professional training for medical, nursing and allied health students. This includes the MD Rural Stream (previously Parallel Rural Community Curriculum) pr

ogram and multidisciplinary rural clinical placements. Through this practice, we bring new and exciting opportunities to actively engage and work with rural communities. Flinders Rural and Remote Health SA began as the Flinders Rural Health unit in 1994. Since then we have pioneered the concept of longitudinal Community Based Medical Education (CBME) and become a key player in medical education, research and clinical education in rural and regional settings across South Australia. Our staff are passionate about rural health and education, and our students proud to live and learn in the rural communities that they are calling home during their studies and into the future. Find Your Place in Health at Flinders Riverland Open Night at Flinders Renmark Campus
If you or someone you know is considering a career in Nursing, Allied Health or Medicine, the Flinders Riverland Open Night offers an opportunity to explore your options and discover what studying locally can provide.
Prospective students and their families can meet academics, speak with current students, and connect with recruitment staff to gain practical insights into courses, pathways and career opportunities.
Studying health in the Riverland is about more than earning a qualification. It means training in a regional community, learning alongside local health professionals, and contributing to a workforce that supports the future of healthcare in the region.
The evening will include dedicated information sessions:
• 6.00pm – 7.00pm: Nursing
• 7.00pm – 8.00pm: Allied Health
• 7.30pm – 8.30pm: Health and Medicine
Attendees will also have the opportunity to speak with members of Yungkurrinthi, who provide support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students throughout their university journey.
Whether you're finishing school, considering a career change, or exploring study options closer to home, the Flinders Riverland Open Night is a chance to find out what a future in health could look like in the Riverland.

Register to attend and WIN!

This year is particularly significant as we celebrate 50 years of NAIDOC, reflecting on the enduring strength, resilience, and leadership of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. As we honour this important milestone, the upcoming theme of "50 Years of Deadly" reminds us of the generations of Elders, leaders, artists, advocates, and communities who have shaped the movement and continue to inspire the future. It is a celebration of culture, survival, achievement, and the ongoing journey towards truth, respect, and reconciliation.
Our Flinders Rural and Remote Health staff joined the march in Murray Bridge and Berri.
