🐷 Student Spotlight in 4/5! 📐

This term, our students have been exploring area and perimeter through hands-on and engaging activities.

One activity the students have particularly enjoyed is “Pen the Pig”! 🐖 Students use dice to determine the perimeter of their rectangular pig pen before calculating the area inside.

Students then compare their pens to determine:
🐷 Who has the largest area for their pigs?
📏 Who requires the longest length of fencing?

It has been fantastic to see students applying their mathematical thinking, problem-solving skills and mathematical language while having a little fun along the way! 🧠✨

Our 2026 Wellbeing and Engagement Collection results give us so much to celebrate! 💚💛

This annual survey gives students across South Australia a voice in sharing how they feel about their wellbeing, relationships, engagement and learning.

At Renmark West, we know that students are more ready to learn when they feel a strong sense of safety, support and belonging. These results reflect the intentional work happening across our school, strengthened by the support of our families, to ensure every child is seen, known and valued.

We are incredibly proud of our students and staff and remain committed to ensuring every child has the relationships, confidence and support they need to engage, persevere and thrive in their learning.

We’re getting excited for Sports Day!

A package of forms will be sent home tonight with information about the day, including:
• Subway lunch order forms for students who would like to order lunch for the day
• a call for helpers
• transport information.

Please have a look through the forms and complete and return them as soon as possible.

And don’t forget to have your coloured t-shirts ready to go! 👕

🎶 What a treat – Peter Combe live in concert! 🍎🎵

Yesterday, our Renmark West students had a wonderful afternoon joining the students from Renmark North for a special Peter Combe concert!

Students loved singing along to a medley of favourites, as well as some exciting new songs! 🌟 A special shout-out to Mackenzie, who had the opportunity to get up on stage alongside Peter.

From Toffee Apple to Spaghetti Bolognaise and Mr Clicketty Cane, the afternoon was filled with music, dancing and plenty of fun. 🎶

It was also a special trip down memory lane for our very own Mrs Farrelly, who got to see one of her childhood favourites live on stage! 💚

Thank you, Peter, for visiting the Riverland and creating wonderful memories for everyone! ✨

🎶 Student Spotlight 🎶

Last week, six of our amazing Renmark West choir students had the opportunity to perform at the Chaffey Theatre as part of the Riverland Primary Schools Festival of Music.

👏 Annabelle, Brooklyn, Arielle, Willow, Violet and Gabriella did an incredible job on stage. We couldn’t be prouder of their enthusiasm, confidence and bravery!

This year’s Festival of Music was extra special as it celebrated the 30th year of this wonderful production. 🎉

A very special thank you to Ms Fairey for being such a great support to our students. 🫶

Book Week Parade 2026! 📚🎶

Our students went above and beyond this year with the most amazing costumes for our Book Week Parade - from Harry Potter to dinosaurs and everything in between! 🌟

Book Week 2026! 📚🎶

This year’s theme, ‘Symphony of Stories’, was enthusiastically embraced as students enjoyed exploring their favourite - and new - books and characters. 📖✨

Our students also had an absolute ball (disco ball, that is! 🪩) when they visited the Renmark Paringa Council Library Book Week Disco. It was a highlight, as always - thank you for another fantastic celebration! 💃🕺📚
