Our Father's Day Stall is coming up (Thursday 3 September), and we need extra hands to help make it a success! If you can spare some time, we'd love your support in making sure every student finds the perfect gift.

JETS Rugby League

Last Friday, 21 August, we welcomed Stretton State College to Yugumbir for two great games of rugby league!

With only a limited number of players able to take the field due to the restricted number of games, our JETS players stepped up and played with plenty of toughness and team spirit.

🏉 Year 4/5 Mixed: Yugumbir 8 – 2 Stretton
🏉 Year 5/6 Mixed: Yugumbir 8 – 3 Stretton

Both games were competitive, with our JETS players showing great effort, determination and sportsmanship throughout. 💪

A big thank you to Stretton for travelling to Yugumbir and helping make these games possible. We really appreciate the opportunity to get out there and play! 👏

🏀 Queensland 3x3 Basketball Wrap Up 🏀

What an incredible two days of basketball at the Queensland Basketball 3x3 Competition!

Our boys represented Yugumbir with pride, determination, and outstanding sportsmanship throughout the tournament.

👏 Boys Team 1 battled their way into the Bronze Medal Game, ultimately falling just short to finish an impressive 4th out of 16 teams in their division.

👏 Boys Team 2 showed great grit and teamwork, finishing 6th out of 13 teams in their division.

A huge thank you to all our parents and supporters who cheered from the sidelines, kept score, and help capture the special moments, and continually lifted the boys up through some tough competition. Your support made a real difference.

Most importantly, the boys displayed true Yugumbir Spirit both on and off the court. We couldn't be prouder of their effort, resilience, and respect shown throughout the competition.

🔬 Science Week Fun!

Last week, our students got stuck into some hands-on Science Week activities, exploring, experimenting and putting their problem-solving skills to the test!

From designing and testing paper airplanes ✈️ to experimenting with a balloon cannon 🎈 and plenty of other fun challenges, our students had the chance to predict, test, make changes and try again.

It was great to see so much curiosity and creativity happening as students explored how things work, and most importantly, had fun while learning!
