🔴 Refugee Week at Regents Park Public School 🔴
To recognise Refugee Week, students and staff at Regents Park Public School proudly wore red and donated a gold coin to support refugees.
It was wonderful to see our school community come together to show compassion, kindness, and support, with so many students enthusiastically participating in the fundraiser.
Refugee Week provides an important opportunity to reflect on the values of inclusion, belonging, and respect. Through experiences such as this, our students develop a deeper understanding of the diverse journeys, experiences, and contributions of people from refugee backgrounds who enrich our communities every day.
A heartfelt thank you to all of our families for their generous donations and ongoing support. Together, we are helping to promote understanding, inclusion, and hope for people rebuilding their lives in new communities.

Our First Nations students attended the Bunmurra Corroboree Day at Georges River Environmental Education Centre.
Students had the opportunity to connect with culture, Country and community through a day of learning, reflection, storytelling and hands-on activities. It was a special experience that fostered pride, belonging and connection for our students. Thank you to the organisers and Elders who shared their knowledge, stories and culture with us. 🖤💛❤️

⚽🇦🇺 PSSA Bye Round & Socceroos Fever! 🇦🇺⚽
A reminder that our PSSA teams have a BYE this Friday, so there will be no PSSA games scheduled.
As a school, we have certainly caught Socceroos fever as we proudly support Australia in the FIFA World Cup! What a fantastic start to the tournament, with the Socceroos securing an impressive 2–0 victory over Turkey in their opening match.
Australia will take on the USA this Saturday in Round 2, and we know our students will be cheering them on every step of the way!
A special thank you to Mrs De Marcellis, who has organised some amazing World Cup-themed activities for students as part of our sports unit. These activities have helped build excitement and allowed students to learn more about the world's biggest sporting event.
Good luck, Socceroos! 🇦🇺⚽
Regents Park Public School students are behind you all the way!

🔴 Refugee Week Reminder – Red M***i Day 🔴
A reminder to our school community that Refugee Week 2026 will be held from 14th June to 20th June.
This important week promotes greater awareness of refugees, the challenges they face, and the valuable contributions they make to the Australian community. The theme for Refugee Week 2026 is "A Million Stories", recognising and celebrating the diverse journeys and experiences of people from refugee backgrounds.
To support Refugee Week, our school will be holding a Red M***i Day on Wednesday, 17th June 2026 and hold a Refugee Assembly this Friday, 19th June at 9.15 am.
❤️ Students are invited to wear acceptable red m***i clothing.
💰 Students are encouraged to bring a gold coin donation.
All funds raised will go towards the purchase of school resources to support our students.
Thank you for your continued support. We look forward to seeing a sea of red on Wednesday!

🐞 Class Spotlight – K/6 Ladybugs 🐞
Our K/6 Ladybugs have been busy learning and growing this week!
In Mathematics, students have been exploring measurement by using non-standard units. They have been measuring lines with blocks and comparing the lengths of different objects, developing their understanding of measurement in a fun and hands-on way.
We are also celebrating some wonderful social learning. Ali has been working hard on learning how to share with others, demonstrating kindness and cooperation during classroom activities.
We are so proud of the effort, learning, and positive choices being made by our Ladybugs every day. Keep up the fantastic work! 🌟
