FREE day of fun, entertainment, and community connection at the Child Protection Week Family Fun Day 2026!
Hosted by UnitingCare in partnership with Logan Youth Action Group (LYAG), Benevolence Society, Yourtown, SSI, BEST Disability, Youth Off The Streets, The Family Place, Queensland Health, and Logan City Council, this annual event brings together families, children, young people, and local organisations to celebrate Child Protection Week and strengthen our community.
This year's event embraces the 2026 Child Protection Week theme, "Protecting Children is Everybody's Business," by creating a welcoming space where families can enjoy a great day out while connecting with local services and learning about the support available in the Logan community. ❤️🩵💛

Celebrating our fabulous Teacher Aides!

This week is Australian Teacher Aide Appreciation Week, and we’re taking the opportunity to recognise the incredible TAs who make such a difference across Regents Park every single day.

From supporting learning and regulation, to building relationships, encouraging independence, helping students feel safe and included, and stepping in wherever they’re needed - our TAs are such an important part of our RPSS team.

Not everyone made it into today’s photo, with some of our wonderful TAs out on excursions doing exactly what they do best - supporting our students! 😊

To all of our Teacher Aides: thank you for everything you do to help our students feel such a strong sense of belonging at RPSS. We appreciate you!

Think yellow socks, bows, scrunchies, ribbons, hair accessories, hats, bracelets or anything else that adds a splash of yellow to your day! 🌼🐝
But it’s about more than just wearing yellow. 💛
R U OK? Day is a wonderful opportunity to check in, start a conversation and remind each other that we care.

✏️ Learning in Action in 1 Yellow! ✏️

There was plenty of active learning happening in 1 Yellow last week!

The class had whiteboards out and every student responding as they worked through their learning together. Our students know the routine - write your response and “chin it!” when you’re ready to share.

These simple engagement routines mean every student is thinking, participating and showing what they know. They also give our teachers immediate feedback about who is ready to move on and who might need a little more support.

A great example of explicit teaching and active engagement in action at Regents Park! ❤️💙💚

This week, students at Regents Park State School are learning to show STAR behaviour when using the toilets.

We are learning safety, teamwork, achievement and respect when we reflect on our choices.
💙 I can use the toilet ONLY for its intended purpose.
💛 I am in the right place, at the right time, doing the right action.
💙 I can flush, wash and leave the area clean.
💛 I can respect others privacy.
