This will probably be our new concert tradition. What piece should we do next year?

We never get to have a rehearsal all together. We learn the patterns during our lessons, often in groups of 2 students and then, we just go for it on the day!
It's so much fun and it's a great way for students to engage with rhythm, musical phrases, conducting and to develop internal feel of pulse and tempo, and hand and feet coordination.

Were all so excited to share our pieces at our concert! Miss F has been working very hard to master her new piece "Cootontail Bounce" 🐇 🎹🎶
It was quite a level higher than her other pieces but she rose to the challenge. Well Done 👏 🎶🎹

Miss A has been working hard to play her pieces fluently and 100% accurately 🎹✨️🎶
This is "Hungry Herbie Hippo" in three different keys. The story is that Herbie Hippo eats his leaves and grass so is quite healthy and goes around having fun!
Henry Hippo is eating way too many cheese burgers so he's feeling like staying home (his note is the same note for the whole piece 🤣 🍔 🍃 🦏
It's so much fun to choose our instruments to match the story of our pieces and double fun when we've reached the perfection level to add a backing track. It makes us feel that we're playing with a full band! Well done Miss A 👏 🎹🎶

Miss C and Miss E met at piano lessons last term and became piano beasties in no time (their solo lessons are back to back). We love the small overlapping time for our theory games and ensemble rehearsal! And today we got to so some improv together. Miss C at the base and Miss E at the treble. A special momnet in our studio today 🎶💗🎹✨️

'Money Money Money' 💰 🤑 ABBA + Miss H = So much fun!
There were heaps of new challenges and techniques and rhythms to learn to master this epically fun and loved piece! Hope you enjoy!
Well Done Miss H for competition AMEB Grade 2 with Credit B+ 🎹✨️🎖💙 New levels here we come!!

Leo the lion 🦁 had a piano lesson today - Courtesy of Miss E 👏🎶🤎 we have a budding lion pianist...and teacher 😍😅
Miss E actually got him to sit with good posture and helped his paws play rather well ...for a lion 🐾
I love how our students incorporate our studio animal friends into their lessons and music making!
