The most accessible coffee machine for blind people, I swear by it! ☕️

It’s amazing how the little things in the kitchen can make such a big difference to our independence. Being able to make a coffee quickly, easily and completely independently might seem like a small thing, but those small things add up.

This machine has definitely earned its place in my kitchen!

Exploring Bee Gees Way in Redcliffe through my Meta glasses. 😎🎶

For a blind person, exploring somewhere like this isn’t only about knowing what’s around me. My Meta glasses can describe displays, signs, photos and other details I would otherwise miss, helping me build a picture of the place through words.

They don’t give me sight, but they give me another way to experience the world around me, independently and in the moment.

This is the kind of technology I love sharing through Blind Training Australia: practical tools that can make everyday life, travel and exploring new places more accessible.

Approaching a familiar place from a different direction can be surprisingly tricky when you’re blind. Sometimes it takes a new mobility lesson; other times, it’s about drawing on experience and learning to read the environment differently.

If you’d like to book a mentoring session with a blind person who has 40 years of lived experience, send me a message.
