DANCE OF NATIONS 🌺
Redbank Plains State High School invites families and community members to join us for an evening celebrating the many cultures that make our school community unique.

The Dance of Nations will be held at the Redbank Plains State High School Community Recreation Centre (CRC) on Wednesday 16 September 2026. Performances commence at 6:00pm and admission is FREE.

Enjoy a showcase of student performances representing First Nations, Samoa, Tonga, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, the Cook Islands, New Zealand and Africa. This special night celebrates culture through song and dance, with performances choreographed and presented by our talented students.

Today is R U OK? Day, a reminder of the importance of checking in on the people around us.

While we recognise this important day, meaningful conversations about wellbeing shouldn't be limited to a single date on the calendar. A simple "Are you okay?" can make a difference any day of the year.

Let's make checking in, listening, and supporting one another part of our everyday culture.

TEACHER & STUDENT SPORT 🏐
After weeks of student vs teacher sporting battles, the netball court was the next stage for some friendly rivalry! The teachers combined strong teamwork and determination to claim a convincing 15-6 victory over the students.

The match was played in a fantastic atmosphere and showcased great sportsmanship from both teams. Congratulations to the teachers on their win and well done to all involved for another entertaining contest.

With futsal still to come, the student vs teacher challenge isn't over yet!

BOOK NOW 📣
Bookings for our Student Led Conferences on Thursday 10 September are now open via Compass. Book a conference time that suits your family and your student's Student Led Conference facilitator will be allocated by the school.

Please note:
- Bookings are compulsory for Years 7, 8, 9 and 11. Years 10 and 12 are welcome to attend to discuss their pathways.
- No regular classes on the day!
- Years 7–9 will complete their 2027 subject selections during their conference (please bring your laptop!).

We encourage families to book early to secure a time that works best for your family. If you are having trouble booking or have any questions, please contact the school on 07 3432 1222. We look forward to seeing you on Thursday 10 September!

NO LIMITS EXCURSION 🪜
Recently, a small group of students participated in the No Limits Excursion, a high ropes course experience focused on building confidence, collaboration, and resilience.

The day provided valuable opportunities for students to support one another, overcome challenges, and strengthen team connections in a unique and engaging environment. Even our staff members who attended embraced the challenges and were encouraged and supported by our students every step of the way.

A big thank you to ProJeX for facilitating the program and delivering a safe, professional, and rewarding experience for everyone involved.
