Formal season is coming soon ......

Our 'ReShop' - (Recycle, Reuse, Repurpose) school Op Shop, is calling for donations of formal wear to help our students look and feel amazing for their upcoming formals! 👗👔👠

If you have any gently loved formal dresses, suits, shirts, ties, shoes or accessories that are looking for a new home, we would love to add them to our collection.

Your donation could help a student shine on their special night! 💙

Donations can be dropped off at the school office.

Hunter Wetlands Centre Australia excursion

A stunning winter’s day saw Mrs Mickle’s Year 9 Marine Elective students at the Hunter Wetlands.

Students looked at abiotic and biotic factors and learned about the impacts on ecosystems.

They collected organisms from the pond, gathered data using different equipment and walked around with staff learning about the ecosystem.

“The staff from Awabakal Center were extremely pleased and praised how amazing our group was all day. Students demonstrated outstanding PBL values and engaged in all activities and I am so proud of them” commented Mrs Mickle.

🌈 Wearing Purple with Pride and Courage! 💜

Today, Irrawang High School proudly got behind Wear It Purple Day.

This year’s theme, Colours of Courage, celebrates the many different forms of courage shown by LGBTQIA+SB young people, their allies and communities every day.

It was fantastic to see so many of our students and staff wearing purple and showing their support for inclusion, acceptance and belonging.

Together, we can help create a community where everyone feels safe, valued and proud to be themselves. 💜🌈

YUM!

Ms Bennett’s Year 9 Food Technology class got creative in the kitchen this morning, making delicious ice cream sandwiches from scratch.

From freshly made biscuits to the delicious vanilla ice-cream, these tasty treats looked absolutely amazing.

Well done students.
