At RTEEC we don’t just celebrate and embed Aboriginal culture for special days, we do it every day. Our educator Steph bought in some special Emu eggs sourced from a farm at the Warrambungles. The children were able to feel the eggs, compare them to other bird eggs and just marvel in the beauty of them.
Then Steph cooked the eggs up and we all had a taste. It was a big thumbs up from all the children!

Today our team participated in Australia’s biggest morning tea. Cancer is something that affects most families, and unfortunately most of us know someone who is fighting their own cancer battle.

Yesterday the children from our Butterflies Room went on an excursion to Bunnings at Heatherbrae. Raymond Terrace Public School kindly provided transport for us, and the children loved being on Chuck the Bus!
While at Bunnings we had some morning tea, had a play on the playground and then did some shopping for our gardens.
A huge thanks to Bunnings Warehouse Australia for providing a space for us to have our morning tea and for all your staff being so kind and welcoming to us.
