💛 R U OK? Day at Rawson Primary School 💛

Yesterday, we held an early R U OK? Day morning tea at Rawson Primary School, bringing together our students, staff and parents for a morning of connection, conversation and plenty of smiles.

All of our students received their very own R U OK? Day T-shirt, making for a sea of yellow around the school! 💛👕 It was fantastic to see everyone getting involved and helping spread the important message that asking “Are you OK?” can make a real difference.

Our morning tea was a great chance to slow down, enjoy some food and a cuppa, and check in with one another.

A big thank you to our wonderful school community for helping make it such a positive morning. While R U OK? Day gives us a special reminder, checking in, listening and looking out for each other is something we can do every day. 💛

🚒 What a great day! 🚑

Yesterday, our students had a fantastic day, joining the students at Erica Kinder for an Emergency Services Morning.

We were lucky to meet our local CFA, SES, Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria teams and learn more about the important work they do in our community. Students enjoyed exploring the emergency vehicles and equipment, asking questions and learning some important safety messages. 👮‍♀️🚒🚑

A huge thank you to all the emergency service staff and volunteers who gave their time to make the morning such a wonderful experience for our students.

And, of course, it was great to spend the day with our friends at Erica Kinder! 💛

🚌 Great news! The Baw Baw Mobile Library is back on the road! 🚌

The Mobile Library truck will be visiting Rawson tomorrow! 📚✨

Our students will be having a visit to explore and borrow. Membership forms have been sent home today so newer students can sign up, become members, and start borrowing right from the truck. Be sure to check your child's bag for their form and send it back so they don't miss out! 🎒📖

We encourage everyone in the community to jump on board, get borrowing, and show support for this fantastic service—let's make sure the mobile library keeps coming back to visit our town! 👥❤️

🌿 What a fantastic start to Term 3 at Rawson Primary School! 🌿

It's been wonderful to see our students return with smiling faces, ready for another term of learning and fun.

One of the highlights has been our brand new mud kitchen, which has already been a huge hit! A big thank you to Mr Mether and Nick, who built it over the school holidays. Our students have loved getting creative, cooking up muddy masterpieces and enjoying imaginative outdoor play. Still more of the install to come!

We're also excited to welcome some new faces to our school community. A warm welcome to Mrs Morgan, who has joined Rawson Primary School as our classroom teacher on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Mr Mether will be teaching for the remainder of the week while Mrs Ray enjoys a well-deserved Long Service Leave adventure exploring sunny Queensland. We also welcome Mrs Smith, who has joined our team as our new Classroom Education Support staff member.

In STEM, our students have been diving into the exciting world of stop motion animation, learning how to bring their ideas to life one frame at a time. Our senior students have also enjoyed getting back into BTN (Behind the News), discussing current events and building their understanding of what's happening around Australia and the world.

Today, our students also enjoyed their first Taekwondo session, led by Mark from Rhee Taekwondo at the Erica Building. It was a fantastic opportunity for students to build confidence, coordination and discipline, while having plenty of fun learning new skills.

It's been a wonderful first few weeks back, and we're looking forward to another fantastic term of learning, growth and new experiences together! 💙💛
