🌊 From Plain Pasta to Colourful Coral Reefs! 🪸🎨
As part of our Ocean theme, the children got creative while making their own coral reefs. First, they helped dye plain pasta by pouring paint into zip-lock bags and squishing, mixing, and shaking the colours through the pasta. 🌈🙌
Once the pasta had dried, the children painted clay bases yellow to represent the sandy ocean floor. They then carefully pressed the colourful pasta into the clay, transforming simple materials into beautiful coral reef creations. 🐠🐚
This hands-on experience encouraged creativity, problem-solving, fine motor development, and imaginative thinking as the children explored the wonders of life beneath the sea. We had lots of conversations about coral reefs, ocean habitats, and the animals that call them home. 🌊🐙🐢
