🌸💜 Celebrating Brewarrina’s Amazing Pathology Students! 💜🌸

What a wonderful reminder that when we invest in local people, we invest in the future of entire communities! 🌟

Today we're celebrating our incredible Brewarrina Certificate III in Pathology Collection students, whose dedication, determination and enthusiasm have been nothing short of inspiring.

Through the wonderful partnership between CHRI at UNSW, Adept Training and the Brewarrina community, we've witnessed so much more than the development of new skills. We've seen confidence grow, opportunities open up and local people take meaningful steps towards building stronger, healthier futures for themselves, their families and their community.

💜 Because the best investment we can make in community health is in the people who call that community home.

To our fabulous students — we are so incredibly proud of you! Thank you for embracing this opportunity with such commitment and heart.

On behalf of the entire CHRI team, we extend our deepest gratitude to Angel Flight Australia for the extraordinary support you provide in helping us reach communities such as Brewarrina.
Working in rural and remote communities reminds us that distance should never be a barrier to connection, care, research or opportunity. The generosity of Angel Flight — and the remarkable pilots, drivers, volunteers and supporters who make each journey possible — helps bridge those distances in a very real and meaningful way.
Your support enables our team to be where we need to be: on Country, alongside community, listening, learning and working together to improve health outcomes.
We never take that support for granted. Behind every flight are people generously giving their time, skills and resources to help others, and we are incredibly grateful to be among those you have helped.

We are absolutely overwhelmed with gratitude. Before 10am this morning, we reached our Ten4Ten goal of seeing 200 participants! 🎉
To every person who walked through the doors, shared their time, their health information, their stories and their trust with us — thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Reaching 200 participants is so much more than a number. It represents a community coming together and supporting research that aims to create better health outcomes for Brewarrina and other small and underserved communities.
To our participants, local partners, volunteers, community organisations and everyone who encouraged a friend or family member to come along — you made this possible.
We came to Brewarrina to work alongside the community, and once again you have shown us the extraordinary things that can happen when research is built on relationships, trust and genuine partnership.

💛 There is something incredibly special about meeting people in their own community.
Ten4Ten is about more than health research — it’s about coming together, sharing stories, having a yarn, building relationships and learning from the people who know their community best.
The joy in these moments comes from genuine connection: people welcoming people, neighbours supporting neighbours, and community working together for a healthier future.
This is what community-led health looks like — shaped by the community, strengthened by the community and, most importantly, for the community. ❤️
We feel incredibly privileged to be welcomed into Brewarrina and to work alongside the people who make this community so special.
