✨ PERFORMING ARTS FESTIVAL 2026 ✨

What an incredible night at Sydney Town Hall! 🎶

Last night, Coogee Prep had the privilege of performing alongside nine other IPSHA schools at the biannual Performing Arts Festival.

Our primary boys took to the stage with a brilliantly reconstructed rendition of “Somebody That I Used to Know” — and they were absolutely outstanding! 👏🎤

Performing on the Town Hall stage in front of such a large audience is a wonderful experience, and we could not have been prouder of the confidence, energy and enthusiasm our boys brought to their performance.

A huge congratulations to everyone involved in bringing the piece together, and most importantly, to our boys for representing Coogee Prep so brilliantly!

A wonderful afternoon celebrating the incredible women who have been, and continue to be, part of the Coogee Prep community. 💙💛

Our annual Mothers’ Lunch is always such a special occasion — bringing together CPS mothers, both past and present, to reconnect, catch up, share stories and enjoy a beautiful afternoon together.

Is your son starting high school soon? 🎓

The transition from primary school to high school is a big one — and at Coogee Prep, we believe preparation goes well beyond academics.

Throughout their senior primary years, our boys are encouraged to become increasingly independent, confident and responsible, so that when they leave us at the end of Year 6, they are ready for what comes next.

Our senior boys are given opportunities to:
⭐ Take on leadership roles and responsibilities
⭐ Build confidence in public speaking and communication
⭐ Develop strong organisation and study habits
⭐ Represent their school through sport, performance and community events
⭐ Learn resilience, independence and personal responsibility
⭐ Mentor and support younger students
⭐ Step outside their comfort zones and take on new challenges
⭐ Develop the manners, character and confidence to navigate new environments

With small classes and teachers who know each boy individually, we can help our students recognise their strengths, work on areas that need developing and gradually take greater ownership of their learning.

By the time our boys walk through the Coogee Prep doors for the final time, our goal is not simply that they are ready for Year 7.
We want them ready for high school and beyond.

Still buzzing from Book Week! ✨📚

We’re still smiling after last week’s fantastic Book Week celebrations at Coogee Prep!
Our boys certainly brought their favourite books and characters to life, with an incredible amount of creativity, imagination and effort on display. 📖🐉🦸‍♂️🧙‍♂️

A huge congratulations to our Book Week Parade winners, with two boys from each class receiving a special certificate and a Dymocks voucher to put towards their next great read! 🏆📚

Choosing our winners was certainly no easy task — the standard of costumes this year was outstanding!

Most importantly, Book Week is all about celebrating the joy of books, stories and reading, and we loved seeing that enthusiasm throughout the school.

Congratulations, boys! 👏💙💛

BOOK WEEK AT COOGEE PREP! ✨📚

Book Week is always a highlight on our calendar — but it’s about so much more than dressing up. It’s a celebration of books, stories, imagination and the joy of reading! 📖💙

This year, our families and boys truly went above and beyond. The creativity, effort and detail that went into the costumes was outstanding — our parade was filled with some very impressive book characters! 👏

🏆 Two boys from each class were recognised for their fantastic costumes, receiving a Book Week certificate and a Dymocks voucher to put towards their next great read.

We were also delighted to give a very special welcome to some of our Kindergarten 2027 boys and their families, who joined us for the celebrations. We loved having you as part of the Coogee Prep community for the morning! 💙💛

And the celebration of books doesn’t stop at the parade! Today, all of our boys are heading off to Randwick Library for an excursion, continuing to explore the wonderful world of books and reading.

A huge thank you to our parents and students for embracing Book Week with such enthusiasm this year. The level of effort was exceptional!

🎨 A little Grandparents’ Day surprise in the making… 💛

Following our wonderful Grandparents’ Day celebrations, our boys have been busy creating something very special for their grandparents.

Using a favourite photograph as inspiration, each boy is carefully creating a portrait of their grandparent — a personal piece of artwork that will soon be making its way home as a special keepsake. 🖌️🖼️

Here’s a little sneak peek of our young artists at work… we can’t wait for the finished portraits to reach their very special recipients!

💛 Grandparents Day at Coogee Prep 💛

Yesterday we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming some very special guests to Coogee Prep as we celebrated Grandparents Day.

Our boys loved sharing their classrooms, showing off their schoolwork and spending time with the grandparents and special people who play such an important role in their lives. There were plenty of proud smiles, warm hugs and wonderful memories made. 💙💛

Thank you to all of our grandparents and special guests who joined us and helped make the day so memorable. We loved having you as part of our Coogee Prep community!
