🎙LET'S YARN PODCAST
SERIES TWO

Connection • Responsibility • Walking Forward with Intention

I've been a bit quieter lately, with my Lets Yarn work...
Not because I've stopped doing the yarns... but because I've been doing a different kind of yarn.
The honest yarn with myself.

I've been looking deeply at what I carry, what I feel, what triggers me, what I sometimes mask, and what sits underneath the way I respond to the world around me.

Because the work I do in community and alongside our young people is bigger than me.

And my little family deserves the real, but also the best of me ❤️

And if I'm going to carry that work, and be there fully for my girls, I want to continually ask myself:
What is driving me?
Is it love?
Is it responsibility?
Is it hurt?
Is it ego?
Is it fear?
Or is it genuinely what I believe is right?

Series Two of Let's Yarn is coming in....
It's going to be real. Raw. Personal.
I'll be sharing my own journey of learning to be honest with myself while still being gentle with myself, acknowledging the feelings we often hide or mask, understanding where they come from, caring for my own wellbeing, and then actually doing the inner work.

Not to become perfect.

But to become more intentional about how I show up. . for myself, my family, my community and the work I carry.

Being honest with myself. Being gentle with myself. Being accountable for how I show up.

This is Let's Yarn — Series Two. 🤎
And its coming SOON!

When we sit in circle with our children and share knowledge, culture and connection, they deserve the very best of what we can bring. 🌿

But bringing our best doesn’t mean constantly giving until there’s nothing left.
Sometimes the most important thing we can do for the work we carry is to rest, reset and make space for ourselves too.

Because when we take the time to refill our own cup, reconnect with the peace of who we are and look after our own wellbeing, we return to our children and our communities with more patience, presence, clarity and love.

The love for our communities we carry and passion we have to give deserves to be shared with care, and the people carrying it deserve that same care too. 🤎

Rest is part of the work, actually its the most important part.

Rest ensures we can clarify any emotional bog downs, validate our feelings and lovingly let go of the stuff that doesnt serve for the greater good.

I have been on a deep inner Reset... because if I promote the work, im actively living it.

Take some time for you, and take as much time as you need for the mind to be a little clearer, the heart a little lighter and the feet to be more grounded.

Being constantly busy and burnout is not a badge of honour... constantly seeking validation for that is not self-love.

Loving me enough, to hold myself accountable.
Giving myself that time to be accountable 🔥

Maarubaa Miss Tay and QPS dhiiyaan for a beautiful day the art show was a highlight! So much beautiful art and creativity, I was also so proud of my own girls artworks!

A special mention to Ned who stepped into a very respectful leadership role and together we led the students through movement and rhythm to bring story to life through Language and Dance 👣
I cant wait to visit for the rest of the term and be apart of your regular language and culture lessons 😍🔥
