Our Primary School Book Week Parade brought our Symphony of Stories to life, transforming the campus into a living library of adventures and characters 📚🎶✨

From cheeky Minions and colourful Care Bears to Little Miss characters, Harry Potters, book fairies and adventurous pirates, our students stepped into the pages of their favourite stories, celebrating the imagination and wonder that make reading so special 🌈⭐️

With staff and families joining in the fun, the day was filled with colour, creativity and a shared love of reading and storytelling. What a wonderful celebration of the stories that bring us together! 💫

Book Week excitement is in full swing in our ELC! 📚✨

Our students have been all smiles and wide eyes, welcoming a series of mystery readers into their classrooms this week, with each surprise guest bringing plenty of excitement and a new favourite story to discover 🌟📖

And the mystery isn’t over yet! Our little readers are still eagerly waiting to see who will walk through the door next as we continue celebrating the magic of books, imagination and reading together!

Across Years 3, 5, 7 and 9, our students performed outstandingly in this year's NAPLAN assessments, and we're incredibly proud to celebrate their achievements.

We're incredibly proud of Moriah alumnus Mia Lazarus (Class of 2020, pictured left), who co-designed and painted this powerful mural on the Bondi Promenade together with Jenna Caspary, a fellow member of our local Jewish community. The mural was created in remembrance of the Bondi Beach attack that occurred on 14 December 2025 and its devastating impact on the Jewish community.

The artwork serves as a lasting tribute to the 15 lives lost, honours the bravery of first responders, and recognises the many people whose lives have been forever impacted by the attack.

We’re especially proud to see Mia use her creativity and artistic talent to contribute to such a meaningful community project, creating something that will help keep the memory of those lost alive.

This week, our students came together to celebrate Bullying No Way Week, embracing the 2026 theme, Small Acts, Big Impact 💜✨️

Throughout the week, our incredible High School SRC helped bring the theme to life by welcoming students with games and activities, encouraging everyone to use kind words and make a positive difference. At lunchtime, cupcakes and thoughtful messages continued to spread kindness and smiles throughout the College.

In the Primary School, students were given the opportunity to explore the theme through creative arts and craft activities while reflecting on the importance of choosing kindness every day.

It was wonderful to see our students come together and remind us that even small acts of kindness can make a real difference 🌟

In this next instalment of our Alumni Spotlight Series, we are excited to share Susan Clifford’s (Class of 1976) story as she reflects on a life shaped by family, heritage and a deep connection to Moriah. Now a homemaker and grandmother of ten, Susan’s connection to the College continues through her grandchildren, who all attend Moriah. Her story reflects a life grounded in family, Jewish values and a lasting connection to the Moriah community across generations.

The Alumni Spotlight Series features heartfelt conversations between College Principal Mira Hasofer and our inspiring Moriah graduates. Each interview celebrates the unique paths our alumni have taken and how their time at Moriah helped shape who they are today.

We are so proud of our Year 6 students who put on a beautiful Project Heritage showcase for their friends and families.

Project Heritage is a meaningful opportunity for our students to explore and learn about the history of our thriving Sydney and Australian Jewish community, and to understand the rich heritage that has shaped who we are today. Through this experience, our students reflect on who they are in this world and the responsibility they have to carry the flame of their Jewish heritage forward to future generations.

This year’s showcase was made even more special by the presence of Holocaust survivors Alex, Paul and Roland, grandparents of students in our Year 6 cohort. It was a privilege to have them with us, reminding us of the importance of remembering our past, honouring those who came before us, and passing their stories and our heritage on to future generations.

A huge thank you to everyone who supported our students throughout this learning journey and helped make the showcase such a meaningful and memorable success 💙

A beautiful Havdalah service, bringing families from our Kehillat Moriah community together through music as they welcomed the new week ✨🎶

So special to watch this community grow and to see our campus become a place where families can connect and share meaningful Jewish experiences 💙
