Queanbeyan Public P&C We aim to bring QPS parents,carers & school community together in a positive and friendly environment We understand that being a parent is a busy experience!

However, we still want you to have the opportunity to be involved in what’s happening at your child’s school. This page was created to promote postive and friendly communication and involvement. Just by liking and sharing this page, you’re helping do just that! There is no expectation that all members must be involved in every aspect of the P&C, attend every meeting or help with every activity. All members can volunteer as much or as little of their time as they wish.

The P&C have put together these special bags for our Kindy and Stage 1 classrooms (as well as the front office) to keep their tooth safe while they travel home. ❤️

Overlocker hunt!

Dear sewing friends!

We are currently making some dance costumes for our students for the upcoming District Art Festival 🥳
The overlocker we're using is dying a slow death 😭

Is there anyone who may have a working overlocker we could borrow for a few days?
Will pick up, drop off and look after it very well by someone with lots of sewing experience.

National Walk Safely to School Day is tomorrow!

Join us as we participate in the National Walk Safely to School Day on Friday 22 May. This annual event encourages healthy habits and road safety, and we hope you'll join us and our special guests in walking to school together.

Morning Hot Chocolate:
After the walk, all students and families who participate are invited for a complimentary hot chocolate kindly provided by our P&C.

Ways to Participate:
School Organised Walking Group:
Meet P&C members, teachers, and families at the sheltered BBQ area in Queen Elizabeth Park (behind Riverside plaza, Collett Street) at 8:00am. The walking group will depart at 8:10am, following the river path, crossing Collett St and Isabella St, and finishing at the supervised school crossing.

Walk Your Usual Route:
If your child already walks to school, simply continue your regular route and join us in front of the canteen at 8:30am for a hot chocolate!

We look forward to seeing as many families as possible walking safely to school and enjoying this fun community event together!

It's the Athletics Carnival tomorrow and the P&C are all set to get the tongs clicking at our fundraising BBQ!

We are preparing to distribute the pre-ordered meal deals from 11.30am.

Once we have ensured these have been handed out, we will open up to the BBQ and other items to the spectators and students who wish to purchase at the event.

We will have cash and eftpos available.

Looking forward to cheering on all of the students! ❤️💛💚💙

We hope everyone has had a safe and enjoyable Easter break. We're looking forward to a fun and exciting Term 2 tomorrow!

The P&C are straight back into it with two upcoming events and we'd love some new and returning volunteers to enjoy them with us!

The first is the Athletics day BBQ on Thursday 30th April (times to be confirmed but likely 9-2) at Wright Park in Queanbeyan.

We also have our fabulously popular Mother's day stall on Tuesday 5th May from 9-10.30am.
