R U OK Day might only come once a year, but the question matters every day 💛

Whether it's a classmate, a flatmate, or someone you haven't checked in with in a while - asking "how are you travelling?" can make a bigger difference than you think.

Studying, especially away from home, isn't always easy, and no one should have to go through it alone. If you're experiencing any difficulties, our staff are here for you. But if you'd rather speak to someone independent about your situation, Acknowledge Education students can also access free, confidential student counselling: acknowledgeeducation.edu.au/student-counselling. Meet our August AE Community Champion! 🎉

Congratulations to Marielle Chepkemei Chelule, taking out this month's title for nominating Kitwek Victoria Incorporated. A Master of Social Work (Qualifying) student and Kitwek Victoria member herself, Marielle stood out to our judges for her genuine passion for community, inclusion and cultural connection.

Kitwek Victoria is a Melbourne-based group supporting the Kalenjin community through welfare, mentorship, sports and culture. Thanks to Marielle, Kitwek FC now has a $2,000 AE sponsorship - funding floodlights so the team can train in the evenings ahead of interstate competition.
