π’𧱠Count, Match, Build π’π§±
We extended the childrenβs interest in maths and counting by using LEGO to match numbers as we built. The children had so much fun working with Lauren in small groups, developing their number recognition and counting skills through hands-on, engaging experiences.
It was wonderful to see their confidence grow as they counted, matched, and created together while building important early maths foundations. π

For Reconciliation Week, our nursery children explored Aboriginal culture through creative expression π¨π€πβ€οΈ Using the colours of the Aboriginal flag, the children created their own beautiful artworks while learning about connection, respect, and belonging. Whilst creating, we played traditional Aboriginal music in the background, helping to create a calm and meaningful atmosphere for the children to engage, listen, and learn πΏβ¨ Such a special way to celebrate diversity and begin important conversations from an early age.

Last week (2/04), we built on the childrenβs interests with a fun and hands-on experience ππͺ
The children explored their gross motor skills while making fresh orange juice, taking turns using hand juicers with support from Miss Josie. There was lots of squeezing, teamwork, and excitement as they watched the juice come together!
We then chilled our freshly made juice in the fridge and enjoyed it together at afternoon tea β a delicious reward for all their hard work π
This experience links to EYLF Outcome 3: Children have a strong sense of wellbeing, as the children developed physical skills, coordination, and confidence through active participation.
