🧡 Reconciliation Day & Harmony Day 🧡
Today, our Rosary community came together to celebrate Reconciliation Day and Harmony Day - a special opportunity to recognise inclusion, respect, belonging and the rich diversity within our school community.
Students proudly wore a touch of orange or cultural dress as we reflected on reconciliation with Australia’s First Peoples and celebrated the many cultures that make our community so special.
Through our Dominican theme, Living the Dominican Spirit: All in, everyone belongs, we are reminded that everyone is welcomed, valued and encouraged to shine. ✨

On Thursday, our Year 5 students attended a Language Workshop with Aboriginal Elder Uncle Tamaru at the library in preparation for National Reconciliation Week.
Through storytelling, discussion and interactive activities, students explored Aboriginal language and culture, gaining valuable insight into the importance of preserving Aboriginal languages and recognising the enduring connection Aboriginal peoples have with Country, culture and community.
This meaningful experience also connected beautifully with the themes of Catholic Education Week, encouraging students to deepen their understanding, build respect and strengthen relationships as we walk together in truth, inclusion and reconciliation. We are grateful for the opportunity to learn from Uncle Tamaru and reflect on how we can all contribute to a more respectful and connected community. 💛

As we come to the end of Catholic Education Week, we’re proud to share some of the beautiful artwork created by students as part of this year’s Shine With Open Hearts theme. 💛🎨
Throughout the week, students reflected on Scripture and explored what it means to shine with compassion, courage, kindness, love and faith in their everyday lives. Through thoughtful discussions, they considered how God’s light shines through us and how we can share hope and care with others.
Inspired by these reflections, students expressed their understanding through creative artworks and artist statements, using symbols of light and love to bring their ideas to life. 🌟

Celebrating Catholic Education Week! ✨
This week, we celebrate Catholic Education Week and give thanks for all that makes Rosary such a special place of faith, learning and community. ❤️
At Rosary, we see our students shine each day through kindness, friendship, curiosity and a willingness to support one another. Guided by this year’s theme, Shine With Open Hearts, we are reminded of the importance of compassion, hope and walking together in faith.
We are grateful for the students, staff and families who bring our Rosary community to life each day. 🌟
