It was an absolute pleasure to last week welcome back the Class of 2006 for their 20-year reunion. Some familiar faces, some we hadn't seen for decades. Lots of memories and laughter shared.

The old scholars had a tour of the school, including the now-traditional photo on the Albert Centre stairs (a tad different to the Kingston Laboratories building of 2006 😄) before heading the The Archer Hotel.

Our next reunion is the Class of 1996 on Friday, 24 July. We can't wait to see our 30-year old scholars there!

Make sure you keep on eye on our website and our Blackfriars Old Scholars social media for all our reunion dates and registration details. We look forward to welcoming you back to Blackfriars.

🎙 The Torch is celebrating National Reconciliation Week. 🎙

Today, host Sunny is joined by Veena Raymond, a respected Kaurna cultural adviser and community figure who has worked closely with schools and cultural organisations and on reconciliation initiatives. She is also a Blackfriars grandma.

She talks frankly about her life as an Aboriginal woman and how reconciliation has changed the face of Australia over the decades.

When Hearts and Hounds come together, it's guaranteed to be a good day. ❤️🐶

Students from Blackfriars and Our Lady of the Sacred Heart College, Enfield yesterday came together for the third annual Hearts & Hounds Day.

Blackfriars hosted the OLSH girls, with Year 8 students from both schools combining for a series of engaging and collaborative activities designed to build social, communication and leadership skills.

Thank you to the student leaders from both schools, staff and all the Year 8s - Hearts and Hounds - for a great day of fun. Thank you also to our friends from Schinella's Your Local Market for donating all the fruit for Recess.

There was a real buzz at ELC today, when Tom Buckley - dad of ELC student Annabelle - came to talk to the students about beekeeping. 🐝🍯

Annabelle proudly wore her beekeeping suit while Tom chatted hives, honey and everything in between. A fun learning experience for our ELC boys and girls.

Thank you, Tom and Annabelle, for sharing your expertise.

The Albert Centre foyer was transformed into a welcoming winter dining space for last night's inaugural Cosy Collective Kitchen.

Family and friends of our Stage 2 Food & Hospitality students were treated to a three-course dining experience - designed, prepared and served by the boys.

The perfect winter meal, the menu featured warm, comforting dishes made using seasonal produce and, wherever possible, locally sourced ingredients. A great experience for our boys and their guests.

Huge thanks to the students, Head of Food & Hospitality Olivia Punturieri and Food & Hospitality Education Support Officer Ida Masullo for a fantastic evening.

We're pleased to share a few snaps from Saturday's P&F Roaring '20s Quiz Night. Thank you to everyone who came along and made it such a special night.

A huge thank you to our hardworking P&F volunteers, along with Patrick Kelly and Yen-Nhi Foo from the Developement Office, for putting on another amazing quiz night.

Thank you, also, to everyone who donated prizes for our spinning wheel, bottle toss and raffles.

Congratulations to the Jazz-Age Geniuses, the table of our Co-Curricular Coordinator Gareth Cox, for taking the win (for the third year in a row) and to Jacqui Bloffwitch and Tim Henderson, our best-dressed winners.

Our P&F are already thinking about next year's quiz night and WE CAN'T WAIT!
