It’s a busy one, with HPE Week, Father’s Day celebrations, Pupil Free Day and plenty happening across the College 🙌

Six of our students recently travelled to Townsville to compete at the 13–14 Years Northern Futsal Trials, and they impressed! 👌

A big congratulations to Addie, Daly and Isaac, who played their way into their respective Northern Teams following some fantastic performances across the trials! 👏⚽

They’ll now head to Cairns in October to represent Northern Queensland at the State Championships.

Well done to all six students for representing St Catherine’s Catholic College with skill, determination and sportsmanship. We’re so proud of you!

🎶📚 A Symphony of Stories! 📚🎶

We closed out an amazing Book Week with a bang at our 2026 College Book Week Parade! Students from Prep to Year 12 stepped into the pages of their favourite books, bringing this year's Symphony of Stories theme to life with an incredible array of characters and costumes ✨

There was so much creativity on display, plenty of smiles and lots of laughs, everyone had an absolute blast! What a fantastic way to celebrate the magic of books and imagination together 💙💛📖

Our Year 6 students got a real taste of secondary school at their Year 6 into Year 7 Transition Day! 🎒✨

They jumped into secondary classes: crafting surfers in Art, investigating living and non-living organisms under the microscope in Science, getting competitive in HPE, discovering archaeology and geography in Humanities, and exploring Digital Technology 🎨🔬🏀🗺️💻

And when the bell rang, the fun kept going! 🥳Students chose from Minute to Win It, Touch Football, Multisports, Soccer, the Chill Out Room, Watercolours and the Outdoor Basketball Court.

It was a fun-filled day of learning, trying new things and getting a feel for what’s ahead in Year 7. We can’t wait to see these students take the next step! 💙💛

Work Experience → Real Opportunities 🚀

Our Year 10 Work Experience program is opening doors! Students recently explored careers across our local community, building confidence, skills and valuable industry connections.

A special congratulations to Gabrielle, whose placement at Greater Whitsunday Vet Services has led to an offer of a school-based traineeship! 🐾

Gabrielle’s enthusiasm and willingness to learn impressed the team and have taken her one step closer to her goal of a career in veterinary nursing or veterinary science.

Well done, Gabrielle! We can’t wait to see where this opportunity takes you 💙💛
