Week 6 is here!

This week, students will be presenting their Public Speaking Competition speeches in class. We can’t wait to see them share their ideas, build confidence and put their speaking skills into action.

There’s plenty else happening too, with Storytime, Primbee Markets, Enrichment Groups and Playgroup in the Hub.

What an incredible day!

A huge thank you to everyone who helped bring the Primbee Tiny Forest to life. Together, our students and community planted 750 native trees, taking meaningful climate action while creating a space that will benefit our community for generations to come.

We had a surprise visit from a Green and Golden Bell frog! This endangered species has a local habitat in the Korrongulla Wetlands and made its way to the Tiny Forest.

A special thank you to Wollongong Botanic Garden, Wollongong City Council, and Groundswell for their partnership and support, and to our amazing staff, families, volunteers and students who made the day such a success. A huge shout-out to Helen, Jenny and our volunteers in the hub for making this project possible.

We can't wait to watch our Tiny Forest grow!

🌱🐝 Tiny Forest planting is happening this week!

This week, our students will roll up their sleeves and help create Primbee Public School’s very own Tiny Forest, in partnership with Wollongong Botanic Garden and Wollongong City Council.

It’s a wonderful opportunity for our students to take action for the environment and help create a greener, cooler space for our school and community. 🌿💚

A very special Week 5 ahead at Primbee! 🌱💚

Friday is a big one, with our Stage 2 students heading off to the Lake Cup and our much-anticipated Tiny Forest planting taking place at school. After lots of planning and preparation, we’re excited to see this project come to life as our students help create a greener, cooler and more beautiful space for our school and community.

We can’t wait to watch our Tiny Forest begin to grow! 🌿🐝

🐝 Stage 3 Learning Beyond the Classroom 🎨🌿
Our Stage 3 students enjoyed an inspiring day with the Illawarra Environmental Education Centre, exploring the natural beauty of our local environment around Lake Illawarra and Windang Island.

As part of their Visual Arts excursion, students completed a nature scavenger hunt, closely observed and sketched native plants, and captured the stunning escarpment from Windang Island through beautiful watercolour paintings.

The day became even more memorable when we were lucky enough to spot both whales and dolphins in their natural habitat! 🐋🐬

Experiences like these help our students develop a deeper appreciation of the unique environment on our doorstep while fostering creativity, curiosity and a connection to the world around them.

A wonderful day of learning, observing, creating and exploring! 🌏💙 🐝

On Friday, 31st July, 8 to 13-year-old athletes from Primbee Public School competed in the District Athletics Carnival at Croome Rd. We competed against 11 other schools in running, long jump, high jump, shot put, and discus. Everyone tried their best and had a bunch of fun.

Congratulations to Teaagan and Esava, who qualified to represent Mid South at the South Coast Athletics Carnival in September.

Happy Book Week and Public Education Week!

One of this week's photos brings together three of our Year 6 students at their final Primbee Book Parade and three of our Kindergarten students at their very first. It's a special reminder of the journey our students take and the wonderful memories made along the way.

A huge thank you to all the families who donated cakes and treats for our Book Week cake stall. Your generosity is always appreciated and helps make these celebrations extra special.
