Alhamdulillah, on Saturday our high school students had the opportunity to attend a very meaningful and educational excursion. We began at the Lakemba Funeral Service, where Brother Ahmad Herachi delivered an insightful workshop on the step-by-step process of washing the deceased. The students also received valuable reminders and heartfelt advice about preparing for the Hereafter.
We were blessed with the unique experience of praying the janazah for two babies – a powerful reminder of the reality of life and death. Afterwards, we visited Rookwood Cemetery, where the students reflected on the etiquettes of visiting graves and the importance of remembering our final return to Allah SWT.
It was a profound and humbling experience for all, instilling in our students the importance of always being prepared for the Day we meet Allah SWT.
May Allah SWT forgive the sins of our brothers and sisters who have returned to Him, grant them His mercy, and allow us all to benefit from these reminders. Ameen.
