Today our school came together for our National Sorry Day Assembly to acknowledge and reflect on the significance of this important day.
We were honoured to have Aunty Dot as our special guest, who shared her experiences and important messages with our students and staff. Her contribution provided a valuable opportunity for our school community to listen, learn, and reflect on the importance of healing, understanding, and reconciliation.

CLASS OF 1976 REUNION.
Were you, or do you know someone, from Miller High’s Class of ’76 (5th or 6th Form)?
This year marks 50 YEARS since we walked out the school gates and into the real world… so it’s time to reconnect, reminisce and celebrate the journeys we’ve all taken since 1976.
Class of ‘76 survivor, Nic Atkinson, is organising a reunion later this year and would love to hear from former classmates so we can work out the best date, venue and format for what should be a fantastic catch-up. After all, these events only happen every 50 years.
So, if you’re keen to catch up and celebrate with people you may or may not remember, then contact Nic asap.

Congratulations to our School Captain, Yousef Al Masri, who has been recognised as one of only three finalists for the VET in Schools (VETis) Student of the Year at the 2026 NSW Regional Training Awards – Southern & South Western Sydney, held at the Liverpool Powerhouse Museum. Yousef was the only finalist from public education in his category, an outstanding achievement that reflects his dedication, resilience and leadership.
Yousef is currently completing a Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Assisting in Nursing Work in Acute Care) through NSW Health RTO. He regularly undertakes his placements at Liverpool Hospital, where he has developed his scope of practice, and at the young ages of 16–17 years old, he delivers direct patient care, assists healthcare professionals, and functions within the dynamics of a multidisciplinary team.
Driven by his passion for healthcare and advocacy, Yousef is committed to addressing gaps in the public healthcare system and championing more accessible, equitable services, particularly in relation to orthodontics.

So proud to officially launch this fantastic initiative at Miller Technology High School's Intensive English Centre!
Thanks to a $10,000 community grant from Transurban, students will participate in a 10 week program with Revolve ReCYCLING to make bikes that have been donated roadworthy again. They’ll also get hands on training to maintain the bikes and learn local road rules to ride safely.
For these young people, this is about more than transport. It’s about independence, confidence and building connections in our community.
Looking forward to seeing the impact here in Miller 💛

IEC Graduation Assembly – Term 1 🎉
On Tuesday, 31st March, our school community gathered together to celebrate the graduation of our Intensive English Centre (IEC) students for Term 1. The assembly marked a very special milestone for these amazing young people who have worked so hard to overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
Throughout their time in the IEC, our graduates demonstrated exceptional resilience and perseverance. Many arrived with limited English language skills and faced the challenge of settling into a new culture, school, and community. With determination and support from their teachers and peers, these students have made incredible progress in their language learning and personal growth. Their commitment to their studies, their courage in tackling new situations, and their willingness to help each other has truly inspired our staff and fellow students.
During the assembly, we recognised their achievements with awards, certificates, and heartfelt speeches from staff and students. Families and friends joined us to celebrate this important moment, sharing in the pride and joy of the occasion.
We are so proud of our IEC graduates and their journey so far. They are now ready to take on new challenges and continue their learning with confidence. We wish them all the very best for the next stage of their education!
