Miss Ginger's Dance School

On Friday, we celebrated our annual Show-Off Showcase with our beautiful Tap Fam!! This year marks our 5th birthday, so naturally our party featured pass the parcel, pin the tap shoe on Shirley Temple, the Chocolate Game, birthday cakes from The Australian Women’s Weekly Birthday Cake Book and of course, tap dancing. What a joy to celebrate with our Tap Family who always come to the party with energy, enthusiasm and commitment to the theme.

Relationships with family can be wonderful… or tricky… or sometimes both at the same time. But luckily with our Miss Ginger’s Tap Family, it’s never awkward at all.

This Show-Off Showcase we are celebrating all things family in honour of our incredible TAP FAM by dancing to family themed songs!! Can you think of any?

We're hoping to start a new weekly absolute beginners class on Thursday nights from 4 June - drop us a DM or an email [email protected] if you are interested. We'd love to see you in taps! (shout out to 2023 and Miss Rhiannon, Miss Kelly, Miss Ying and Miss Alex - beginners then, but now shuffling with significant expertise!). No previous dance experience required - just bring a sense of humour and a desire to learn and have fun!

It’s almost 2026 Show-off Showcase time. And we are having a party!!!

It’s our 5th year, so there will 5 year old birthday party vibes! So much fun. We can’t wait!!

Feel free to bring a plus one. And wagging, retired or past tappers are also most welcome to come along.

After a delicious lunch of dumplings and flaming drinks, we followed the scent of cinnamon to Her Majesty’s Theatre to see Waitesss for our yearly school excursion. There was a lot of laughter and a few tears. What a talented cast.

And the tiniest bit of tap dancing!

We’re off to Joe’s Pie Diner to see Waitress, a heart warming story about resilience, friendship and hope. And pie!!! 🥧 Anyone else craving baked goods??

GOODBYE to daylight savings and HELLO to the Easter Bunny! Sending thoughts & prayers to everyone whose kids woke at the crack of dawn & are now on a sugar high!!
