Today we celebrated the end of term one with an Easter liturgy. Our senior students presented the events of Holy Week through symbols, song and scripture. Included in this were some wonderings about how events such as these influence our lives today.
Over the past week classes have visited our ‘Stations of the Cross’ which were set up around the school. At each station there was the Catholic tradition- a recount of the way of the cross, provocations regarding feelings and emotions for those involved, a reflection question linking the experiences of Jesus with our own experiences today and a prayer and image of current social justice issues in our world.
It has been a wonderful opportunity for students and staff to reflect on the true meaning of the Easter season.

Today we were honoured to witness the Episcopal Ordination and Installation of Bishop Mark Freeman at St Patrick's Cathedral, Ballarat.

As the ninth Bishop of Ballarat, Bishop Mark succeeds Bishop Paul Bird CSsR, to whom we extend our deep gratitude for his years of faithful and dedicated service to our diocesan community.

It was a beautiful and prayerful Mass, with a large gathering from across the Diocese and wider community. We were especially grateful for the strong presence of our principals, whose commitment to being part of this significant occasion reflects their deep connection to the life of our Church.

We feel a great sense of privilege to have been present for this significant moment, and we look forward with hope and confidence to Bishop Mark’s leadership in the years ahead.

Today we celebrated our Opening School mass in the school hall with the theme of ‘Growing Together’.
This celebration included the commissioning of our School Leadership Team and staff. Our student leaders and house leaders received their badges and a blessing from Fr. Greg and the community.
In line with our theme, each student has a leaf on our tree which contains a goal they have for 2026.
Thank you to Fr. Greg for leading our mass and to the parishioners and families for joining us in celebrating the beginning of our school year together.

CONGRATULATIONS to Fr Mark William Freeman whose appointment as the 9th Bishop of Ballarat was announced by Pope Leo XIV in Rome on Wednesday night.

Fr Freeman, 66, currently serving as Parish Priest in Bellerive-Lindisfarne (Catholic Archdiocese of Hobart) will succeed Bishop Paul Bird CSsR.

This Father’s Day we celebrate and thank all dads and father figures in our community.
We also keep in our thoughts those who cannot be with their dads, those who are missing their dads, and those who are hoping to become fathers.
May this day be filled with gratitude for the love, guidance, and care that fatherly figures bring into our lives.

Please see the attached flyer advertising a FREE webinar, featuring Michael Carr-Gregg, a well known adolescent psychologist and Susan McLean, an expert in cybersafety. The webinar is all about digital media literacy and safety. Topics covered include artificial intelligence, sexting & sextortion, misinformation and algorithms, and online grooming.

Well done to our Winter Series Sporting Teams, particularly our Soccer and T-ballers who came away as District Champions!! 🏆

Lots of fun being active was had on a beautiful sunny day!!!

Our Soccer players now progress to Division competition in Warrnambool, Friday the 13th at Brierly Park Warrnambool.

Thanks heaps to our teachers, LSOs, parents and friends who came along today to help coach, support and cheer us on. We appreciate you all being there.

Well done to our students for the way that you all represented our school today.
