Year 12s enjoyed a retreat last week in Halls Gap as they move into their final stretch of their last year of school.

Bayview College has repeated its victory at the Regional Tournament of Minds event! Within the South West region, we can proudly say we are one of the few schools that actively encourages students to compete in this amazing creative and problem-solving challenge.
This year, we entered two teams into the Arts and STEM divisions. Both teams showed immense dedication, committing to six weeks of independent practice after school and on weekends.
The Arts Team had to design an innovative, non-visual way to escape an M.C. Escher artwork. They chose a butterfly theme and brilliantly executed their escape through dance.
The STEM Team was tasked with creating a science fiction movie concept. They had to record a scene using an independently moving miniature device, and then recreate that exact scene live on stage.
Thanks to their hard work, both teams will be heading off to the State Finals on the weekend of September 12th and 13th! Congratulations to all students involved.

Last week's Year 10 City camp was a great success!

This information session for Year 11 Students and their parents is being held on Wednesday August 26 at 5:30 in the library. Any student wishing or thinking about attending SWAC in 2027 should attend this session. If you are unable to attend please discuss your interest with Mrs Kelly prior to Wednesday.
The proposed dates for the 2027 Cambodia trip are Monday 21 June to Friday 2 July 2027.

Year 8 music students have been experiencing working in the performing arts by assisting with sound production , lights and back stage with All Saints Parish School concert at the civic hall.
They are working in the dress rehearsals and the senior students will help at the matinee and evening concert.
