🎄✨ Christmas Tree Exhibition 2026 - Entries Now Open! ✨🎄

Have you secured your place in this year's St John's Lutheran Primary School Christmas Tree Exhibition?

We are inviting businesses, community groups, organisations, schools, churches, families and individuals to be part of this wonderful community event. Whether you're a returning exhibitor or joining us for the first time, we'd love to see your creativity on display.

Our ongoing theme is "The Reason for the Season", while also celebrating the many unique and creative ways exhibitors incorporate their business, organisation or personal interests into their tree designs.

If you're planning to enter a tree, please take a moment to complete your entry form to help us with planning for this year's exhibition.

We were delighted to host our annual Art Alive Exhibition, celebrating the creativity, imagination and talent of our students. ✨

Our hall was transformed into a vibrant gallery, filled with an impressive collection of artwork that reflected the effort, growth and artistic expression of our young artists throughout the year. It was wonderful to see so many families and friends in attendance, sharing in the celebration and supporting our students. 💙

A special thank you to Mrs Ryan for her passion, dedication and the countless hours she invested in creating such a professional exhibition. We are incredibly proud of all the talented artists at St John's. 🎨

A heartfelt thank you also to our amazing Parents & Friends Group and volunteers for providing a delicious supper and helping make the evening such a welcoming and enjoyable event for our school community. 🖌️

Our students demonstrated the spirit of Service Learning by rolling up their sleeves and working together to collect, bag, and sell sheep manure for the Melanie Jewson Foundation. 💙
Their hard work helps local community members nourish their gardens while raising funds to support projects in Vanuatu. Every bag sold contributes directly to the Foundation, showing how small acts of service can make a meaningful difference. 🇻🇺

This project is a wonderful example of the Serve aspect of our school motto. Through their dedication, teamwork, and willingness to help others, our students gave their time and energy to support both local gardeners and communities in Vanuatu. Their efforts show that serving others is about making a positive difference, no matter how big or small the task may be. 👏

Book Day Parade is coming! ✨📚

Join us next Wednesday 19th August at 9:00am as our students bring their favourite book characters to life in our annual Book Day Parade.

We would love to welcome our families, friends, and wider community to share in this special celebration of reading, creativity, and imagination. Come along and enjoy the wonderful costumes, familiar storybook characters, and the joy that books bring to our school.

Happy Principals' Day!

Today we celebrate and thank Ms Kotzur for the care, dedication, and leadership she has brought to our school community since joining us this term.
Although her time with us is for a season, we are grateful for the positive impact she has already made. Through her guidance, encouragement, and commitment to Lutheran education, she is helping to create a nurturing environment where students can grow in learning, faith, and confidence.

Thank you for serving our students, staff, and families with wisdom, compassion, and a servant heart. We pray that God continues to bless and strengthen you as you lead our community through the remainder of the year.

100 Days of School Celebration 🥳

Last Friday, we celebrated 100 days of school with a range of fun and engaging activities. Students embraced the occasion by dressing up as what they imagined a 100-year-old person might look like, bringing plenty of smiles and laughter to the day. They also practised their counting skills by sorting and counting out 100 Fruit Loops and enjoyed decorating special 100 Days cookies.

As part of the celebration, students created self-portraits showing how they thought they might look at 100 years old. These creative artworks were a wonderful way for students to express their imaginations and added to the excitement of the day.

A special highlight was the students leading Chapel on Friday morning. They did a wonderful job sharing their learning with confidence and enthusiasm. It was a meaningful opportunity to give thanks to God for His blessings throughout the first 100 days of learning, growth, and friendship.

We are incredibly proud of all our students and the enthusiasm they bring to their learning each day. Here's to the next 100 days of discovery, growth, and achievement! 💯🎉

Entries Are Now Open for St John's Lutheran Primary School's 4th Annual Christmas Tree Exhibition! ✨🎄

We're thrilled to announce that our much-loved Christmas Tree Exhibition is returning in 2026, and we'd love for you to be part of it!

This magical community event brings together local businesses, community groups, families and individuals to celebrate the festive season with creativity, colour and Christmas spirit.

📅 Save the Date! Friday 27th November through to Sunday 29th November 2026

This year, we've moved the exhibition from its traditional first weekend in December to the last weekend in November. This means exhibitors can take their beautifully decorated trees straight back to their business, organisation or venue after the event and enjoy them throughout the entire month of December.

🌟 Our ongoing theme remains "The Reason for the Season", celebrating the true meaning of Christmas. However, we also love seeing the many creative ways exhibitors tailor their trees to reflect their business, organisation or group. Whether your design showcases your brand, your services, your community involvement, or simply your unique creativity, we encourage you to make your tree your own.

Whether your tree is traditional, meaningful, whimsical or completely unique, we can't wait to see what you create!

We're excited to share some festive news!

St John's Lutheran Primary School's 4th Annual Christmas Tree Exhibition is returning this November.

Whether you've joined us in previous years or have only heard about the magic of this much-loved community event, we invite you to mark your calendars and be part of something truly special.

The creativity, imagination, and Christmas spirit displayed each year continue to amaze us, and we can't wait to see what our exhibitors create in 2026. We know many of you are already busy planning and preparing your trees, and we're looking forward to seeing your ideas come to life.

Better yet, the exhibition takes place on the last weekend of November, giving you the perfect opportunity to collect your tree at the end of the event and have it ready to display in your workplace, business, or organisation throughout December.
