We will be holding a celebration of life afternoon for Ms. Tracey McGrath next Friday at PWPS starting from 1.00pm. All students and staff (past and present) and community members are invited to attend.

Buddy Blankets - Support the Homeless in South Australia
Life FM, a community radio station is encouraging schools to be involved in a truly creative idea.

As you know, many people sleep 'rough' on the streets in various places in South Australia. Their situation is especially difficult in the colder months without supplies to keep them warm. As you can imagination, this is not good for their health in general.

By recycling ordinary foil chip packets (175g or bigger are best), these can be cleaned and ironed into space blankets approximately 1m x 2m which is enough to cover the average adult.

How can we help?

Please do not throw away any foil chip packets you have, clean them and bring them into the school front office to be placed into our 'Buddy Blanket' box.

For this point, the children from the Children's University Club after school on Tuesdays and perhaps, other children who are interested at lunchtimes will help support Jody (under strict supervision) to put the blankets together (Life FM has supplied us with instructions to make the blankets).
