Full Impact I.T.F Taekwon-Do is a martial art school/dojang which was initiated on August the 7th 2018 in Port Pirie South Australia. The initiation to Full Impact’s journey started back in the mid 1960's by the original Master Cho
ng- Chul Rhee which was the first Australian martial art school founded by a Korean Master and using the name of Taekwon-Do. Taekwon-Do (also known as Tae Kwon Do) is the art of self-defence that originated in Korea, and it is recognised as one of the oldest forms of martial arts in the world. The name was selected for its appropriate description of the art: Tae (kick with foot), Kwon (to strike or punch with hand), Do (the art or way). In the 1970s Chong -Chul Rhee and his two other brothers Chong- Hyup Rhee and Chong Yoon Rhee, joined to make more successful school's Australia wide. During the time of Rhee Taekwon-do in the Region of the Mid North South Australia located 240km North of Adelaide new endeavors were made and new schools were initiated, including 3 name changes. From Rhee Taekwon-Do the first name change was World Taekwondo Academy and then later the original Sun Taekwondo school which operated here in Port Pirie which was taken over by Head Instructor Louie Dimou from his original instructor in 2018. Sun Taekwon-Do finished up on August the 7th 2018 and a new school/dojang was formed by Head Instructor Louie Dimou who is the founder of Port Pirie Full Impact I.T.F Taekwon-Do.
