Yesterday, our 3/4 classes went to Adelaide Zoo for an excursion and had a wonderful time seeing and learning about the animals. We even had a few children talking to zoo keepers about how you get a job working there!

We were saddened to see the tree removed from our grounds. Unfortunately, it was assessed as unsafe, and with only 48 hours' notice, we were required to have it taken down for the safety of our students and staff. To honour its presence, several classes took the opportunity to create drawings of the tree before it was removed, capturing memories of its importance to our school community. While its loss is felt by many, ensuring a safe environment remains our highest priority. We appreciate your understanding during this time.

Last week, We participated in Bully No Way Week, a national initiative focused on promoting kindness and respect throughout our school community. Students enjoyed a variety of special lunchtime activities designed to encourage positive interactions and celebrate inclusivity. Book Week is the 24 - 28 of August. Our traditional Book Week Parade will be on Friday 28th of August at 9 30 am, following on from our morning Assembly. Our special guests from Solomontown Kindergarten will be joining us again this year. Parents are more than welcome to stay to watch the event.
