Meet Haley!
Haley has been with the Blue Fin Family since 2024 ๐
Torpedos is Haleyโs favourite skill to teach, as it brings together body position, kicking and confidence. Which sets swimmers up for success ๐
One day Haley would love to swim with sharks, so sheโs definitely not afraid of the deep end ๐ฆ
Why do we spend so much time on kicking? ๐ฆต๐ฆ
Kicking is the foundation of swimming.
A strong kick doesnโt just move a swimmer forward - it helps create the body position needed for every stroke.
Our focus is on small, straight and continuous kicks ๐ฉต
When swimmers develop an effective kick, they gain:
โ๏ธ Better body position
โ๏ธ More momentum through the water
โ๏ธ Improved balance and stability
โ๏ธ Greater confidence and independence
Without a solid kick, everything else becomes harder.
Thatโs why we spend so much time building this skill early on because a strong foundation makes every future swimming skill easier to learn๐ช๐โโ๏ธ

Meet Ella!
Ella has been in the Blue Fin family since 2025 ๐ฌ
For Ella the most rewarding part of being a learn to swim teacher is seeing children leave their first lesson smiling, excited, and proud of themselves ๐
If Ella could swim anywhere in the world it would be between two tectonic plates in the Silfra Fissure, Iceland โ๏ธ
At Blue Fin Swim School๏ฟผ, we keep our classes small ๐ฆ
Why? Because progression comes from FEEDBACK, REPETITION & ATTENTION.
In larger classes, itโs easy for children to get lost in the group.
In smaller classes, every swimmer is:

Small class sizes allow our teachers to give more individual feedback, more repetitions, and better technique correction which leads to stronger, safer swimmers.

Outside of the pool Z**i is a disability support worker, which enables her to tailor her approach to teaching each individual ๐ฉต
